The Strongest Sorcerer's Sister Is The King's Queen - nocturnal_snowflake - 呪術廻戦 (2025)

Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

Sukuna's POV

"Play time's over pet. It's time to let you know who I really am." I stated as sorcerers surrounded us and formed a screen, so normal people won't see what was going on inside the curtain/screen.

"That which frightens more than darkness itself... That which is darker than black... Purify this defilement." I formed a screen within their screen so we won't have any interruptions. Based on their distance from us, the radius of the screen is approximately at least a few kilometers.

"There's no need for that, I already knew who you were. You'reRyōmenSukuna, the Great King of Curses," she answered as we faced each other. As I've thought, she really knew, huh?She really is sent to kill me.

"This will make it easier then. Domain Expansion: Malevolent Shrine." I said as I put my fists together with my middle and ring finger up. I initially removed the screen I activated before activating my domain. The shrine along with the makeshift throne made of bones started forming behind me as well as my domain as a whole, surrounding us and completely trapping us inside.

"Dismantle," I stated and sent cursed energy to slash her. Before reaching her, she used her cursed technique to slow it down. She sighed and discarded her glasses.

"Domain Expansion: Unlimited Void." She stated as she crossed her finger, and expanded her domain within my domain.

My domain wasn't destroyed or overpowered. However, her domain can exist within my domain because it's equal in terms of curse energy despite the difference in size. Then, she opened up a hole in her domain connected outside my territory, returning us to the open space, while her domain's covering us from my domain.

"I see... Applying my teachings huh? This should be fun." I said and went ahead to punch her. Her arms shielded her immediately before my punch could land on her. She really is fast. I bent down as she swung her knife at me. She swung it again but I turned to dodge her. Then, I jumped back to create a distance. "Tsk. Looks like this will be useless," she muttered as she threw away the knife.

"Of course, brat. That little knife of yours won't hurt me even if I let you land a hit on me with that."

Then, we exchanged a few blows, trying to punch and kick each other. I'm going easy on her but I'm impressed that she can keep up despite maintaining her domain. Her fist tried to land on my face but I stopped and held it in one hand, to keep her in place. I kicked her but she jumped over while I'm still holding her hand.Damn her flexibility. Then, she kicked me in my face, making me let go of her hand as she sent me flying a few meters away from her. That was a nice kick.

As she started to walk toward me, I immediately went in front of her and punched her in the stomach. She was lifted off her feet because of the impact but she managed to use it to her advantage and land safely. Then, she quickly appeared in front of me, held my wrist, and threw me away. I landed quite a distance away from her. That was a good throw.

"Warm up's over, brat. Time to give me your all. Let's end this quick." I told her as I did stretches. I grew two arms under my real arms and opened my other pair of eyes, each just below the original ones, revealing my true form.

"As you wish," she responded and flexed her hands. Which, her nails grew longer and became sharp. Those were definitely sharper than knives.

*****

My breathing became heavier as each second passed. My body leaning on her, with injuries that I didn't heal. I tried feeling and moving all four of my arms but I can't feel the lower two anymore while I wrapped the other two around her. I still have enough to heal myself and do more but I'm saving it just in case something happens again.Damn those sorcerers.I'll make those fuckers pay.

"Hurry up and finish me off, brat," I whispered softly and felt her flinch. I heard her sobs and felt her tears fall on my shoulders.

"I-I'm sorry..."

"For what? Don't think that this is your fault, idiot. It's my choice and I have no regrets about it. Now hurry up before they kill you along with me." she hugged me tighter for a few seconds, then pulled away.

"Don't worry, I'll be back and I'll find you no matter what, brat. You owe me big time after all. And I'll make sure you'll pay." I told her, laying my head down, using her lap as a pillow.

"A-any last words?" she stuttered but still asked nonetheless.

"I'll make you mine the next time we'll see each other," I said, reaching up to her face and smirking at her while looking into her pair of eyes with all four of mine.I'll make you mine again and protect you properly.

Nodding her head as she bit her bottom lip, she let her tears fall and cut me up quickly. I dispersed my soul into my fingers and protected them with my remaining curse as its grave wax. Before my eyes disintegrated, I saw her crying out loud with curse energy surrounding her, as it started destroying things around her.

The only regret I have is not being able to hug you as you cry. But I'm glad it was you who ended me, princess.I thought to myself as flames started to block my vision, disintegrating me.

Chapter 2: Back To Present

Summary:

Gojo Satoru was busy missing his sister until someone interrupted his moment.

Chapter Text

Gojō Satoru's POV

Years passed since she came back crying. And until now, I don't know the reason why she was crying that time. I don't even know what mission she did that took her years to accomplish, only to come back crying.

I sighed for the nth time today. Even going inside my domain, I still can't figure it out. I've been doing this for years now and yet I still can't find the answer. Sighing as I turned on my bed, I let my mind linger on her. I miss her. I want to see her again. And I wanted to ask her about it. I wonder if it's okay to see her right now? Heh, as if she could answer me even if I did.

As I let my thoughts wander, I felt my stomach grumbling. Looks like I'm hungry. Oh well, time to look for food. And I'll visit her after. I went out and looked for a shop or restaurant that'll suit my taste. I miss her cooking. Sighing, I continue strolling around. Then, my phone started ringing. Seeing the caller ID, I decided to answer it since I'm bored anyway.

"Gojō! Where are you right now?" Principal Yaga asked.

"Strolling around, why?"

"I told you to go look after your student who's looking for that special grade curse object. The higher-ups heard about it and said that they won't let you hear the end of it if you don't show up and help your student look for it." Well, whatever. I'm bored anyway. I'll probably be able to find something I want to eat on my way there.

"Fine, fine, I'll go so I can see some sights as well," I answered and cut him off by ending the call before he can even start nagging at me again.

"Well then, time to go and look for it."

By the way, I'm Gojō Satoru, 28 years old. I'm the strongest sorcerer there is. I have Limitless, as my inherited technique, and Six Eyes. I don't have much to say about me so, so I guess that's it.

Oh, there he is. When I found him, I decided to appear behind my student, who was currently talking with someone else.

"What's the situation?" I asked, interrupting their conversation.

"Wha-Gojō-sensei! What are you doing here?!" Fushiguro Megumi, my student, asked. I commented about his beat-up face and took pictures to show it to the second-years. Then I answered his question and proceeded to ask him.

"So, did you find it?"

"Um, sorry... I ate it." the pink-haired boy stated. Eh?

"For real?"

"For real." they both responded. Well fuck-

"Hm?" I stood in front of him to check.

"HA HA! You're not kidding! They're combined! That's hilarious!" I exclaimed as I saw it. Then, I asked him some questions to check on him and requested for them to switch as I started stretching a bit.

"I dunno about this..." he trailed off, unsure.

"Don't worry! I'm the strongest!" I told him and turned my attention to Megumi.

"Megumi, hold onto this, will ya?" I said as I tossed him the paper bag I'm carrying.

"What's this?"

"KikufukuMochi." I bought it on the way here. "It's not a souvenir. That's for me to eat on the bullet train home." I added, answering his thoughts.

"Behind you!" Megumi warned as Sukuna tried hitting me. I clasped my hands and teleported myself behind him.

"I've got a student watching, so... I hope you don't mind if I show off a little," I stated. I took a hold of his wrist and landed a blow on his head, flinging him away from me.

"It doesn't matter what era it is. You guys are always a pain in the ass!" Sukuna started while he was focusing curse energy on his hand. "You stupid jujutsu sorcerer!" he exclaimed as he sent the concentrated curse energy towards us. I expanded Infinity to protect my student from the curse energy and debris. "But that doesn't matter to me," he stated, smirking as the building behind us got destroyed and made a mess, dust occupying the air.

"7. 8. 9. Should be about time." I counted out loud. His tattoo marks start to disappear.

"Oh...was everything okay?" the kid asked as soon as he returned.

"What a surprise! You reallycancontrol it!" I exclaimed, quite excited about the fact that he was a potential vessel of Sukuna.

"Yeah, but he's kinda annoying. I can hear his voice in my head."

"It's a miracle that's the only side effect," I responded then touched his forehead using my index and middle finger to put him into sleep.

"What did you do?" Megumi asked as I caught the kid's body. He's heavy for a teenager.

"He's knocked out. That's what I did." I answered his question. "If he wakes up and isn't possessed...he might have potential as a vessel. Okay, quick question for ya, what do I do with him?"

"Even if he's potentially a vessel...he must be executed under regulations of jujutsu. But I don't want to let him die!" Megumi stated. After asking him a bit more questions, I decided to grant my student's request to the best of my abilities. I'm a nice guy, after all.

*****

I brought Itadori Yuuji to our HQ and proposed with the higher-ups, just so I can grant my student's request. After he decided to eat the rest of Sukuna, I took Yuuji under my wing as we transferred him to Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu Technical College, which also serves as our headquarters. The next day, we fetched Nobara Kugisaki, making my three students complete. I decided to test her the same day, which, she passed.

*****

At present, the higher-ups gave me a mission overseas. I'll just have to exorcise some curses then I'm free for the rest of the period given on the mission request. After exorcising some curses when I arrived at the airport, I'm finally able to find the strongest one among them. I'll end this quickly.

"Yo!" I greeted to get its attention. It sent focused curse energy to me but I quickly moved behind him.

"Cursed TechniqueLapse: Blue." I pointed my index finger to it, then directed the technique to the curse and exorcised it.

"Mission accomplished," I stated and sent a message to the client.

Once I confirmed the transfer, I decided to stay for a bit and relax. After a few hours of sightseeing and buying food and clothes, I decided to book a flight back to Japan. I'll visit her once I got back. While waiting for my flight, I booked a hotel room for a few hours and took a bath. After bathing, I wore the bathrobe provided and watched TV.

*****

When I landed back in Japan, I decided to visit her first before reporting about my mission. Exiting the airport, I immediately went to buy a bouquet and sweet snacks. Satisfied with what I bought for her, I drove to my destination. As I arrived, I parked my car just below the hill.

I brought along with me the sweet snacks and bouquet as I walked along the path upwards to the top of the hill. As I reached the top, I walked towards the big tree planted near the cliff. I laid the bouquet and snacks beside me as I sat down, leaning my back on the tree.

"Hey, sis... It's been a long time, huh? I intended to visit you sooner but some things happened, so...sorry about that." I stated as if I'm talking to my sister. "You know, my former students are continuing to grow stronger. They've become quite capable. After all, I'm their teacher, right?" I said as I started opening one of the snacks and took a bite.

"RememberMegumi? He's all grown up now. The boy grew strong but he can still be stronger. That kid's still my student." I continued while slowly eating the sweets that I bought. "Oh, and I have two new students.NobaraKugisakiandYuujiItadori.Nobara'sgot experience and has probably been a sorcerer for a few years now. She grew up in the countryside and recently moved to Tokyo." I sighed and munched on one of the mochis I brought.

"AndYuuji, that kid has a higher overall skill level than normal and he'll be strongly capable if taught properly. You probably won't believe me if you heard this but, that kid's currentlySukuna'svessel." I said as I stood up, with my back still leaning on the tree.

"Even though he's kind of an idiot, he's still a fast learner. Judging his character, I'm pretty sure you'll take a liking to him if you meet him." I smiled at the thought of my students meeting my sister.

Only if she could. She'll be proud of me for being the best teacher. My sight became blurry but I didn't pay attention to it and turned around to proceed to talk to my sister.

"I'm the strongest sorcerer now. So please, come back to me. I miss you." I whispered as my tears fall one after another with my forehead leaning on her name engraved on the tree.

I need you...please come back...I prayed as I cried and I laid my hand on her name.

Chapter 3: News of Dead Student

Summary:

While supposedly on a trip overseas, Satoru receives a call that one of his students died.

Chapter Text

Gojō Satoru's POV

I miss you, sis...please come back. As I continue to let my tears fall, my phone started ringing. I decided to ignore it and continue focusing on my memories with my sister but the caller didn't stop and proceeded to keep calling me.

Aish, who the hell calls me during this time? Argh, did they figure out that I'm back in Japan? I'm scheduled to come back tomorrow, though? Great, way to ruin my moment and time alone with my sister. I rolled my eyes at the sound of my phone ringing. Fine, I'll answer whoever this is. I sighed, wiped my tears, and fished my phone out of my pocket.

Ijichi? Why the hell would Ijichi won't stop calling me? Oh, he also called me when I'm aboard the airplane. Did something happen? I guess I'll find out once I answer his call.

"Yo!" I greeted as I answered the call.

"ItadoriYuujiis dead. His-" "I'm heading back." I cut him off and ended the call. Damn, what happened? I was just away for almost three days but then this? "I'm sorry, sis. I have to go, I'll come back as soon as I can but I have some matters to deal with first." I stated as I felt my anger rising in me.

Shit. Why does this keep happening to me? I failed to protect someone again. Strongest sorcerer, my ass. I couldn't even protect my student. I closed my eyes for a moment, trying to collect myself before making my way down. Just before I could follow the path downwards, I heard a familiar voice.

'Everything will be fine,Satoru. It's not your fault.' I stopped in my tracks and my eyes widened when I heard my sister's voice. I turned around but didn't see anyone. I must be insane, right now. I sighed and blinked the forming tears away. I can't be mistaken though, it really is her voice.

"Thanks, sis. You're the only one keeping me in control right now." I whispered through the air and proceeded to walk my way down.

*****

Ijichi just entered the morgue while I'm sitting across Yuuji's body. His heart was ripped out of his chest. Judging from what I heard on the report, Sukuna ripped his heart out.

"It was on purpose, wasn't it?" I asked calmly, barely keeping my anger in control.

"You say that but..." Ijichi tried to answer with his trembling voice.

"Dispatching first-years to rescue five people with unclear information whether they are alive or dead..." I paused, looking at his reaction. "And on top of that, making them go against a high-grade opponent... It's unreal." I stated, starting to analyze the situation that occurred. "I did the impossible and grantedYuujithe indefinite postponement on his death penalty." I continued.

"What's really messed up is that you stealthily disposed of him in my absence, with the help of a high-grade curse. That's what this is, isn't it?" I asked, proceeding to interrogate him about the higher-ups' decision to dispatch the first years. "Even if the other two died, you thought doing something to spite me would kill two birds with one stone, didn't you?"

"No. But when the dispatch was decided...no one expected it to become high-grade," he answered despite his trembling voice.

"Finding the perpetrator is also troublesome," I commented as I felt my patience thinning out. "Shall I go ahead...and kill all those guys at the top?" I asked threateningly.

"It's rare to see you so emotional," Shoko commented, gaining my attention as she just entered the morgue. Ieiri Shoko is our doctor here and my classmate back then. "You were really fond of him, huh." she continued.

"Well, I am a nice guy who's always fond of his students," I responded.

"Don't pick onIjichitoo much. It's hard having to stand between us and the higher-ups."

"I don't give a damn about guys' hardships." I retorted to her. Then, she walked toward Yuuji's body.

"And...this is...Sukuna'shost, right?" she asked as she uncovered Yuuji's naked body.

"I can dissect him however I want, right?" she asked for confirmation.

"Make use of him," I responded.

"I will. Who do you think you're talking to?" she sarcastically asked. I just rolled my eyes at her even though she couldn't see it because of my blindfold.

*****

Sukuna's POV

"Don't look up without permission. It's unpleasant...brat." I told the brat as I sat on my throne made of bones. The brat became my vessel after eating one of my fingers. As of the moment, he's in my domain and looking up at me without permission.

He's so annoying. Switching with me when his friends left just to kill that weak curse. And those fuckers lining me up with that so-called special grade despite the massive difference. That shit doesn't even know what real jujutsu is. Tch. Ripping his heart out isn't enough as a punishment. And this idiot still switched with me despite knowing his heart's been ripped out. Really stupid.

I finally found an interesting human. That Fushiguro Megumi had great potential. I can probably use him in my plans. I'm even in the middle of the fight with him after I killed the weak curse. He's starting to get serious but then this brat just had to interfere and switch with me.

"Then come down. I'll look down on you," he responded as he prepared himself to fight.

"You sure are seething with anger," I commented.

"Damn right, I am. I've been killed by you, you know?"

"Well, looks like you forgot how I healed your arm for you..." I sighed. Ungrateful brat.

"YOU TOOK MY HEART OUT AFTER THAT, YOU KNOW?!" He shouted, really pissed at me. "I can't accept being with the likes of you even when I'm dead, but...is this hell?" he started, muttering the last part. "This is perfect. I'll make you cry." he declared, fully prepared to fight me.

Then, he threw a skull at me. I dodged by jumping up, landing on one rib of the huge ribcage above the shrine and makeshift throne. He ran up, climbing the ribcage, fully prepared to punch me.

"Brace yourself," he warned as he ran towards me.

"No need," I responded. As if I needed to.

Just before my fist hit him, he swiftly bent down, punching the bone that we were currently standing on. I looked down at him to see what he was up to. "You're gonna fall for that?" he asked mockingly. Then, he shifted his weight on his hands on the ground as he lifted one of his legs to kick me. Before reaching me, I quickly moved behind him so that it won't hit me.

"Huh?" he asks, dumbfounded that he didn't hit me. "You're so boring," I told him then kicked him off, making him fall into the water, which acts as the ground in my domain.

"But I thought I definitely scored," says he as soon as he lifted his head off the water while I jumped down. I perfectly landed on him as I intended, with my foot landing on the back of his head to drown him for a moment and he murmured shit while his face's underwater.

"We're not in the netherworld. We're in my territory." I said as I plopped down on his back. "You can call it the 'inner world'.You idiot." I started, murmuring the last part but still letting him hear it. "Which means...we're...not dead yet. If you accept my conditions...I'll fix your heart and bring you back to life." I offered.

"So self-important. You're acting cocky and putting on airs but you justdon't wanna die, right?" he accused.

"The circumstances have changed. Before long...we'll be able to see something interesting." I told him, remembering the brat that I fought. "I have two conditions. One, if I chant 'Enchain', you'll surrender and let me take over for one full minute. Two, you'll forget this pact." I told him the conditions of my offer.

"No way. I don't know what your intentions are but they're way too fishy. I finally understood something after what happened. You're pure evil. I'll never lend you my body again." he refused.

"In that case, let's make a deal that I won't hurt or kill anyone within that minute. That should be good right?" I sighed for the nth time. So annoying.

"Who the hell would believe you?!" he retorted.

"It's not about whether you believe me or not. This is a 'binding' contract. If I don't obey that contract, I'll be the one who'll pay a penalty." I explained. "If you indulge in your own interest more than you deserve to, you'll be punished. You should've learned that the hard way, brat." I continued, talking about the recent event when he switched with me to kill a weak curse. In return, he had trouble switching back with me so I ripped his heart out to take him as a hostage.

"But you were fine!" he exclaimed, talking about when we switched for 10 seconds at the request of the white-haired sorcerer. "That time, I wanted to take over too. You just did it after that shaman told you to. A 'contract' that serves the interests of all parties. It's one of the essential tenets of sorcery." I explained to him the circumstances at that time.

"...Fine. Get off me. I'll accept your conditions. I don't really get what you want to do but...well, it's so I can come back to life." he agreed. I stood up and stepped aside to let him stand on his own. Then, he punched me in the face, making me back away a meter or two because of the impact. Damn, that caught me off guard.

"There's no way I'd say that. Bring me back to life with no conditions. I'm dead in the first place because of you, you bastard." he refuses.

"We'll do this, then. Let's kill each other. If you win, I'll do it with no conditions. If I win, I'll bring us back to life under my contract." I started, tricking him into agreeing to my contract.

"Fine." there goes his approval. "I'll beat you into a pu-" just before he could finish his sentence, I activated 'Dismantle', my default slashing attack, to cut his head in half. Dumbass.

Time to heal this brat and bring us back.

Chapter 4: The Cursed Spirit's Night Attack

Summary:

Satoru found himself attacked by a special grade cursed spirit.

Chapter Text

Gojō Satoru's POV

Meanwhile...

"You know... I have a bad personality, don't I?" I asked Ijichi while Shoko's preparing to dissect Yuuji. "I know." he quickly agrees in a serious tone.

"I'll seriously slap you later,Ijichi," I told him and then decided to continue talking about what I intended to. "Why would someone like me, who doesn't have the characteristics of a teacher, take a teaching job at a technical college? Ask me." I ordered, knowing that he won't ask.

"Why is that?..." he trembled but still asked.

"Because I have a dream.I'll hit reset...on theshitholethat the world sorcery is." I answered truthfully. "It's easy to slaughter all the guys at the top. But they would just be replaced and nothing would change. And anyone who'd simply kill the higher-ups wouldn't gain any followers. That's why I chose education. To raise strong and clever comrades."

"That's why I sometimes dump my missions on my students." I reasoned. "They're all excellent students. Especially the third-year,Hakari, and second-year,Okkotsu. They'll become shamans who can rival me.Yuujiwas one of them." I clenched my fists at my mention of Yuuji.

"Hey, you two. I'm gonna start." Shoko said, gaining our attention. I furrowed my eyebrows when I saw a tiny movement of Yuuji's finger.

"What are you looking at?" Shoko asked, seeing Ijichi's mouth hanging open with wide eyes. My eyes also widened for a second at the sight before me.

"Woah! My dick's hanging out!" Yuuji blurted out at the sight of his naked body. Shoko stood still, shocked that Yuuji's alive.

"Go-Go-Go-Go-Gojō-san!!! H-H-H-H-He'saliv-" Ijichi stuttered with his trembling voice at the sight of Yuuji coming back from the dead. "Hehehe. You're being noisy,Ijichi." snickering, I smirked seeing him alive. Looks like Sukuna brought him back.

"That's a bit of a shame." Shoko pouted, disappointed that she won't be able to dissect Yuuji. "Ummm~ this is embarrassing...who is she?" Yuuji asked.

"Yuuji! Welcome back!" I exclaimed, quite happy at the fact that he came back from the dead.

"Yo! I'm back!" he responded and we high-fived.

*****

I requested Shoko to report Yuuji as dead on the record in the meantime. She agreed but asked me about my plans and so, I told her about it.

I don't plan to hide him, but first I'll build him up so he can defend himself before I let him reunite with people. After all, I haven't forgiven any single one of them for taking a young person's youth away. I talked to Yuuji about my plans with him, in which, he's acknowledging that he's weak and requested that I train and teach him. And so, I agreed and explained some basic concepts to him while showing him a demonstration.

As a result, while the rest of the students are training for the exchange program, I started teaching Yuuji to control his curse energy output through movie appreciation.

*****

"Well then. I have stuff to do so...! Keep it up, okay?" I told Yuuji as he recovered from the punch of the cursed corpse doll.

The doll remains asleep as long as the holder releases a constant curse energy output. It only wakes up to punch the holder if he releases an unstable amount of curse energy. It can't be too little or too high. It's good training to learn and take control of emitting consistent curse energy.

After all, unstable emissions will result in extreme fatigue and exhaustion, rendering a sorcerer unable to fight. Curse energy output stems from emotions. And so, watching different genres of movies while having the cursed corpse doll check on his magical power output will train him to control the amount of curse energy he'll release despite feeling different emotions.

"Can I become strong like this?" he questions.

"Oh, right. Did you talk toSukunawhen you were dead?" I asked him, remembering that Sukuna healed him. I doubt that Sukuna will heal him, free of charge.

"Talk..."

"He didn't make any conditional offers or a contract to heal your heart?"

"Oh... I have a feeling we talked about it but... I don't remember." he answered.

"...I see." Looks like his forgetting about it is a part of his contract with Sukuna. But, what are the other part/s of the contract?

*****

"You still have some time before your appointment with the school principal. Would you like to pass by somewhere?" Ijichi asks as he drives. We're on our way to the said appointment.

"It's fine. Let's be early for him from time to time." I answered, letting my mind wander on what could've been in Yuuji's contract with Sukuna. "...Stop the car," I ordered as I felt a curse following us.

"Huh...here?" unsure, he stopped the car and I got off.

"Go ahead without me."

"Huh! Am I being tested for something?" he asks, unsure of my sudden order. "What do you take me for?" and with that, he drove off. The curse remained which means its target is me.

"Now then." I started, as the curse jumped up just above me. I quickly dodged aside before he landed on my previous spot. "Who...are you?" I asked but the curse intended to punch me. As I dodged, a small volcano emerged beside me. Then it erupted, destroying parts of the road and making quite a mess.

"Contrary to my expectations, he was nothing much, huh." the curse stated as he turned around, starting to walk away.

"Who are you saying is nothing much?" I asked as I dispersed the clouds of dust and rubble surrounding my Infinity.

"Rascal." he probably thought he killed me with that. Even though he's just a cursed spirit, he's able to communicate properly. On top of that, this amount of magical power is of an unregistered high grade. He might be stronger than Sukuna currently is...!

"High grades are so-called because they're special. I'd be thrown off if you came at me as recklessly as this too." I commented.

"Did I hurt your pride?" snickering, he prepares himself. "Nah, I'm starting to have fun," I replied, cracking my knuckles.

"So, you're starting to have fun huh... You have no sense of impending danger," says he as something popped out of the mini volcano on his head. He purposely chose an area with no people...no, he avoided potential reinforcements. Well, he was aiming for me, that's for sure.

"Fire Stone Insects!" then, the thing that came out of his head spawned insects that are now flying toward me.

"No sense of impending danger...sounds right." I agreed as I raised my index and middle finger, expanding the Infinity surrounding me. The insects were stopped by Infinity. Feeling stuck, they struggled to slip past it and go near me. However, they won't be able to do so. "What happens if it strikes?" I curiously asked. One of them started making a sound. As if on cue, it's like a domino effect and now each of them is buzzing or something. So it's the sound? Then, the insects surrounding me all exploded.

"It's a two-pronged strategy of sound and explosion. How clever." I complimented as I landed. I jumped up to dodge just before those exploded. Then, the curse appears on the side, running towards me with his fists covered in flames made of curse energy. It hit my face and so, the flames proceeded to burn.

"I'm not done yet." says the curse as his palm just stops on my back, emitting flames and destroying the road behind me in the process. "...So that's what it is. It turns out I overestimated the weak. Today's humans are a sham after all. They're not living by the truth. Real strength... The truth... Through death, I'll make known their true significance." The cursed spirit stated his speech as he turned his back on me, walking away.

"You've said that before haven't you? Won't you learn?Ugh, the smoke." I asked, muttering the last part while waving my hand, clearing the air.

"What is the meaning of this?" he questions as he turned to face me again. "Hmmm, simply said...you didn't hit me."

"That's absurd. It was completely different than before. I know for a certain that I touched and killed you." he claims.

"What you touched was...the 'Infinity' between you and me.I'll explain. Put out your hand." I said as I put out my hand.

"Come on, come on," I said, waving my hand to convince him. After considering that I don't have murderous intent, he decided to take a shot and comply. Then, his hand was slowed down by Infinity just before he can reach my hand, making him unable to touch me. "Rather than stopping, it just gets slower the closer you get to me. And? What should we do? For me, just like this...I can shake your hand." I stated as my hand touches his, just like doing a high-five.

"I refuse," he said through clenched teeth.

"Don't be shy. I'm starting to feel embarrassed too." I teased, intertwining our fingers.

"Damn you!!!" he exclaims as I completely intertwined our fingers. Completely taking hold of his hand, I struck his stomach, making him cough up blood.

"I'm not done yet," says me before striking him consecutively. Then, I let go of his hand and kicked him, sending him a few meters away from me.

"'Infinity' is originally omnipresent. My jujutsu brings it back to reality. 'Convergence'. 'Divergence'. If they touch this void, what do you think will happen?" I stated as I raised my index finger, creating a small ball of empty space.

"Cursed Technique Reversal: Red." I unleashed my technique, blasting the curse into the nearby forest.

Gojō Satoru's POV

Before he landed in the forest, I appeared behind him and kicked him hard again. Once sent flying again, he reacted quickly and sent curse energy to me. However, I quickly moved and appeared behind him, kicking him in the face, and blasting him to the lake in the middle of the forest.

"Ah, it should be just about time," I muttered and warped back into the school.

*****

"Yuuji," I called out, seeing the cursed corpse doll asleep in his arms while still watching a movie. Surprisingly, he catches on fast, huh. "Gojō-sensei?! What about your errand?!" he's holding out fine even when I addressed him. Looks like we can proceed to the next level quickly.

"We're going out," I stated which surprised him. "HUH?!"

"It's an extracurricular lesson. I'll teach you about...the peak of sorcery battle...'Domain Expansion'." I explained then dragged him out.

*****

"Sorry, sorry. Were you waiting?" I asked the curse as I saw him looking around. Since he's capable of talking, I'll nickname him something. Volcano-head should be good. "Where are we?! Hey, where is this?!" Yuuji asked.

"That guy is..." volcano-head trailed off, realizing Yuuji's Sukuna's vessel. "Mount Fuji! That's Mount Fuji on his head!!!" Yuuji exclaimed as he pointed at the mini volcano atop the curse's head.

"This isItadoriYuuji, who's going to observe." I introduced him to volcano-head. "Sensei, I was at the school just about ten seconds ago, right? What's going on?" Yuuji questions, clueless about what's happening. "Hmmm...we flew," I answered, not bothering to explain. Well, we did fly as we warped back here.

"What's that brat here for? To act as a shield?" volcano-head asked.

"A shield? That's not it. I told you didn't I? He's here to observe. I'm in the middle of teaching this kid some stuff. Well don't mind him, let's continue fighting shall we?"

"For you to willingly take a hindrance with you...how foolish," he remarked. "It's fine, isn't it? I mean, 'cause you're weak." I retorted after chuckling at his remark.

"DON'T UNDERESTIMATE ME, YOU RASCAL!!! I'M GONNA MAKE YOU SWALLOW THAT PRIDEFUL SMIRK OF YOURS!!!" volcano-head angrily yelled while his head and ears are erupting flames.

"Just stay close to me," I told Yuuji as I patted his head when I saw him shuddering at feeling the volcano-head's cursed energy.

"Domain Expansion: Iron Coffin Mountain!" volcano-head established his domain, trapping us in a place surrounded by small volcanoes.

"What...! What's this?!" Yuuji asks, seeing small volcanoes surrounding us all of a sudden.

"This is 'Domain Expansion'. Cursed energy is used to construct an innate territory with a technique that spans the surrounding area." I stated, starting to explain Domain Expansion to Yuuji. "What you guys experienced at the reform school was an incomplete domain that hadn't been granted technique. If it were a proper territory, you, first years, would have all died. Megumiprobably understood that." I told him, talking about their previous mission which resulted in him being killed, only to be revived as well, by Sukuna.

"It takes a crazy amount of curse energy to expand a domain but...it has its advantages. One advantage is a status boost due to environmental factors. It's like a buff in a video game." I resumed explaining as volcano-head moved a huge rock to attack us.

"Another one..." I trailed off as I destroyed the rock before continuing. "The technique that has been granted by the domain will hit your opponent for sure."

"For sure?!" Yuuji repeats, clarifying. "Forsuuure. But rest assured, there are ways you can counteract. Either take the blow with sorcery...or though, I don't really recommend this, escape outside the domain. Usually, it's impossible. Or-" continuing to explain, I was cut off by volcano-head.

"If I neutralize your 'Infinity' in a denser domain...my attacks will hit you too, right?" volcano-head asked. "Yeah, it'll hit," I answered truthfully. In which, volcano-head did some hand gestures.

"The most effective measure against a domain is...also expanding your own domain," I told Yuuji as I took a hold of my blindfold, slowly dragging it down my face as multiple huge rocks are heading toward us. "When two domains are laid out at the same time, a more refined one will control that place. Though it depends on things like compatibility and amount of curse energy." I ended my explanation concurrent with finishing to drag my blindfold down to my neck, just before volcano-head's attack reaches us.

"Domain Expansion: Infinite Void," I stated as I crossed my index and middle finger, expanding my domain while holding onto Yuuji. In which, Infinite Void overpowered volcano-head's domain. As a result, volcano-head's previous supposed attacks were destroyed and he became unable to move due to the never-ending information he was receiving.

"This is the interior of Limitless. 'Perception'. 'Communication'. They force you to repeatedly do what is necessary to survive. It's ironic, isn't it? When you're bestowed with everything, you slowly die...unable to do a thing." I told volcano-head as I took a hold of his head. "But because I have something I want to ask you...I'll spare you." then, I pulled his head off of his body.

Afterward, I removed my domain and threw his head on the ground. As we stepped onto the ground, I let go of Yuuji and proceeded to interrogate the volcano-head. "Now then, by whom were you told to come here?" I asked as I returned my blindfold back to its rightful place. I lifted a part of it to look down on volcano-head with one eye.

"You don't seem the type to act on orders. What will you gain from killing me? Either way, who's your partner?" I questioned consecutively while stepping on his face. "Tell me already! I'll exorcise you, you know? I'll do it for real! Though I'd still exorcise you if you told me." I continued.

Noticing something about to hit my leg, I quickly moved my foot off of his face to dodge the attack. It was something sort of a huge bouquet-like object. All of a sudden, flowers bloomed on the ground, making me and Yuuji relaxed in the presence of flowers. It's warm and fluffy. Realizing that we were in the middle of interrogating volcano-head, I slapped myself to snap back. It must be sorcery. My fighting spirit's weakening.

"GAH!" Yuuji shouted when a branch, connected to a tree monster, wrapped around his ankle and lifted him off. Meanwhile, a curse snatched volcano-head.

"Sensei, I'm okay! Go after that guy!!!" Yuuji exclaimed as the branch lifted him higher. I was about to follow the curse but- "Sorry, I lied! Help!" Yuuji shouted as the branch nearly puts him in a tree's mouth. And so, I cut the tree in half, making Yuuji fall back to the ground. Huh. They escaped. He's good at erasing their presence. He's creepier than volcano-head.

"Thank you and sorry that they ran away because of me. But you're the one who brought me here, right, Sensei?" Yuuji narrated as he bowed.

"So cursed spirits of that level formed a faction, huh. It's getting interesting.Yuuji, more importantly, I want you guys to become strong enough to beat that." I told him, referring to volcano-head as 'that'. "That, huh."

"It's best to have a concrete objective, right? I'm glad I brought you here."

"Nah, I didn't get what was what, you know?" Yuuji replied.

"If you set an objective, all you have to do is bolt through with all you've got. I'll hasten our plans a bit and have you fight me and watch movies over and over again for a month."

"Fight Sensei?!" he repeated as he wonders if he'll still be alive a month from now.

"After that is the real battle. I'll have you complete several big missions. Thoroughly learning the foundation of sorcery and its applications...and then, we'll reveal the new you at the Exchange." I told him my plans for him.

"Hey, Sensei! I have a question!" Yuuji exclaims as he raised his arm.

"Yes,Yuuji-kun?!" I asked as I pointed a finger at him. As if we're in a class and he's asking something about the topic.

"What's this 'Exchange' you're talking about?" Yuuji asked.

"...I didn't tell you?" and so, I started telling him what the Exchange is, throughout the night.

*****

The Exchange Event or the Goodwill Event is an annual friendly competition between Tokyo Jujustu School and its sister school in Kyoto. The type of team battle competition will be explained at the event. This year, it'll be held here at Tokyo Metropolitan Jujutsu Technical School because the previous year's event was dominated by Okkotsu Yuta in Tokyo's favor.

*****

"PrincipalYagawon't be coming for a while..." I started as I sat across from the old man. He's Gakuganji Yoshinobu, Kyoto School's Principal. "Since I've given him a false schedule." after threatening Ijichi. But he doesn't have to know that.

"Thanks for setting this thing up." I thanked him sarcastically as I sat cross-legged with my arm resting atop the sofa's backrest.

"Dear me. What could 'this' be?" he responded. "Don't play dumb, Gramps. It's aboutItadoriYuuji. You, the conservative head, are also involved, aren't you?" I questioned, going directly to the point.

"Good grief. Can't today's youngsters...use proper polite speech?" sighing, he dodged the question and commented on my use of an impolite form of speech. "In the first place, I had no intention of showing respect. Today's elderly sure are judgemental, seriously." I replied, unbothered by his comment.

"Hold on a second. That's problematic behavior. I'll report you to the relevant authorities." the female student stated, who's with this old man and standing by the door. "You're free to do so. I don't intend on saying much either." I waved her off without looking at her.

"Last night, I was attacked by two unregistered high-grade cursed spirits." I started, resuming my talk with the old man.

"That's unfortunate."

"Don't misunderstand. For me, it was a piece of cake. And those cursed spirits were able to communicate and devise a plan. I'm sure they have other comrades of the same grade. It's not just our enemies.Okkotsuand yourTōdō...the students' levels have been skyrocketing in recent years. Last year,we hadGetōSuguru...and the appearance ofSukuna'shost..."

"What are you trying to say?" the old man asked, being impatient.

"You don't get it? Because of your useless status and traditions, the wave of power that's been held back...has already grown immense, and is surging forward without pause. 'High-grade' won't be the upper limit...of the coming generation. If you think I'll be the only one who's gonna bare his fangs...you'll have a painful experience coming, Gramps!"

"You talk a bit too much," Gramps stated threateningly as he's glaring at me.

"Ohhh, how scary!" I sarcastically commented as I sit back comfortably.

"I said what I needed to say, so I'm gonna go," I said standing up, walking away, and finally exiting the room.

"Ah. PrincipalYagawill come in 2 hours~! See ya!" I stated as I popped up one last time to let them know then exited the place.

Chapter Text

Sukuna's POV

A month later...

This is so boring. Just watching this brat train with that sorcerer and now sending him on a boring mission with some other sorcerer. It's only kinda interesting when this brat's in the middle of training with that sorcerer since I can observe him for future purposes.

I also badly wanted to switch with this brat whenever they're training too. But now this? Ugh so boring. They'll just have to exorcise some curses then they're done. Should I force switching with him and kill this shit who's watching over him? That damn white-haired sorcerer said this one's his friend after all.

But this brat hasn't eaten all of my fingers yet. It'll be too troublesome fighting that sorcerer with just the power of 3/20 of my soul. Guess I'll just have to wait and observe for a while. After catching the curses that they encountered, they sent them back to their school and learned that those were previous humans who turned into curses. The brat was assigned in talking to the witness, who was at the scene when three people turned into curses. He became friends with him and even ate dinner at their place.

The next day, it seems that this brat's friend's able to use curse energy. Knocking out everyone in his school and attacking his bully because his mother was killed by a curse to take one of my fingers.

Someone probably set this up. I didn't feel my finger there when this brat ate dinner with them last night. Then this brat tried stopping his friend and such, talking about not throwing life away.

This is really boring. They'll probably start fighting it out. Yep, called it. They're now fighting each other. This brat's probably trying to knock some sense into his friend. Yawning, I decided to close my eyes for a while since it's been hurting for quite a while now seeing their interactions and such. They're such an eyesore.

*****

"Sukuna...SUKUNAAA!!!" the brat yelled, making me open my eyes and observe the situation for a second before responding. Oh, his friend turned into a curse. A new brat with his face patched up. That new brat's definitely a curse. He's the one who can turn people into curses, huh.

"What is it?" I asked, popping up a mouth on his cheek and opening my lower eye on his face.

"I'll do anything! You can do whatever you want to me! So just like when you healed my heart...please healJunpei!!!" the brat pleaded. "I refuse." it sounds appealing, hearing him offer everything just like that, but I'll still refuse. After all, this is not a way of forming a contract.

"You bastard."

"How pleasant," I replied after chuckling. Nice. He completely forgot about that 'contract'. "Sacrificing your everything! Even your pride and future! You try to cling to me as your last resort! Not being able to save anyone! How miserable! How completely miserable! Brat!" I remarked and laughed at him for a few seconds then removed my mouth on his cheek. And with that, he's full of rage, wanting to kill the curse in front of him. They started to fight as I just watched.

"You can't win against me, you know. Swap already...withSukuna." the curse in front of the brat said as he touched the brat. As a result, the curse appeared in my domain.

"Oh? You dare touch my soul? Since we both hate the brat, I'll let this go once. There won't be a second time. Know your place...you fool." I stated and sent him out.

"I won't swap with him. I told you didn't I? That I'll fucking kill you." the brat said and proceeded to headbutt the curse.

Their fight went on until the brat's current babysitter joined in. They're fighting the curse together, huh. As I've thought, this is really boring. The curse managed to separate them, by distracting the brat with curses he spits out and focused on fighting the babysitter. Those were definitely humans that he turned into curses.

The brat managed to finish those curses despite knowing they were previous humans. But as soon as he tried to join the fight, the curse trapped his babysitter in its domain. He kept on punching the domain's exterior until he finally managed to enter by force. Oh? The curse's domain touches everything inside. And so, the curse appeared in my domain again by touching this brat's soul. Too bad, I'm not nice enough to grant forgiveness twice.

"I told you...didn't I? That there won't be a second time." feeling displeased, I activated Dismantle and attacked the curse's soul. As a result, the curse was heavily damaged and its domain shattered, freeing the brat and his babysitter sorcerer.

Hearing the brat's thoughts, it seems like he intends to kill that curse, huh? He attacked it again, trying to kill it, but it still managed to escape. After fighting and finally feeling exhausted, the brat passed out. Tch. The brat had a mental breakdown but his resolve became stronger.

*****

The day of the said Exchange Event finally came. The brat and the damn sorcerer planned something to surprise everyone but ended up being a failure. And with that, the brat's now reunited with his classmates and seniors. They explained the mechanics of the team's contest. The team with the most exorcism will win.

Seeing his seniors, one is a panda, which is definitely a cursed corpse on his own, a male cursed speech user, and a female cursed item user. That woman definitely can't even see curses without her glasses. I can't sense any curse energy from her after all. I can only sense it on her weapons. Based on the reaction of the other school's principal, he'll definitely order his students to kill this brat. Very well, bring it on, I don't really care.

The event started and the brat's now fighting someone from the other school. Oh? That kid's definitely either a first-grade or special-grade sorcerer.

As they fight, the brat from another school asked about his girl preference. The brat answered that his preference is someone tall with a big butt. Girl preference, huh? Hmmm, I really don't care but now that I think about it, my only preference isher.

Then, the brats from the other school surrounded them. Oh? Looks like I'm right. That old man wants this brat dead. Probably too scared of this brat because he's my vessel. The brat seems to understand their goal too, which is to kill him.

However, the kid who's been fighting him interfered and told his team to piss off. He's the strongest among them, huh. And with that, they went off. So boring. Tch. The brat now became best friends with his opponent. And that kid's teaching this brat things to be stronger while fighting.

Ugh, come on. How I wish I could skip this part already and just get this over with. This is too damn boring. On second thought, I can totally skip this by sleeping.

*****

" Gojō -sensei , where are we going? " the brat asked while looking around the sceneries that they were passing.

" I'll introduce you to the person in the picture you saw. " the sorcerer answered.

" Oh, is she a sorcerer like us? "

" Yeah, she is. "

" Is she strong? "

" She's very strong, Yuuji . "

" How strong is she? Who's stronger between you and her, Gojō -sensei? "

" I can't tell but if there's someone who's closest to my level, it's her. She's definitely stronger than Sukuna too. " Oh? Stronger than me, huh? I'm intrigued about that woman now.

This is so boring but I'm curious as well. The back of that woman in the photo looks similar to someone I know. The sorcerer stopped below the hill. Oh? Is this where that woman lives? Is she his lover or something? Maybe I can use her against him?

" Sensei, where is she? I want to meet her already, she seems nice and pretty even though I only saw her back. And she's strong too, maybe I can ask her to teach me too. Do you think she'll agree, Sensei ? " the brat enthusiastically asked.

" Nice and pretty, huh... Indeed, she is. We're near. " the sorcerer answered as they finally reached the top of the hill. Is he retarded or something? There's no one here but faint traces of curse energy. Only a tree was planted near the cliff.

'Oi, brat. I think that sorcerer has a few screws loose on his head. There's no one here.' I told the brat in his mind.

'Shut up, Sukuna. Sensei said she's here, so that means she's here.' I rolled my eyes at his response. Well, whatever. As they reached the tree, the sorcerer knelt on one knee and laid the bouquet he brought along.

" Hey, I'm back. Remember the new students that I told you about? I brought one with me. Itadori Yuuji . " the sorcerer said while touching the tree.

" Uhm, ano, Sensei... " the brat trailed off, not knowing what to ask.

" C'mere , Yuuji . I'll introduce you to her. " the brat complied.

" This is Yuuji -kun. As I've said before, he's currently Sukuna's vessel. But, Yuuji's pretty strong on his own and still learning about curses and stuff. " the brat introduced himself afterward and even bowed.

" You know you can ask questions, Yuuji . " the sorcerer stated.

" Uhm, what happened to her, Sensei? I should probably who she is first, right? "

" It's okay, Yuuji -kun. She's someone important to me and as you've probably guessed, she's not with us anymore... "

" Oh...sorry I- "

" It's fine, anyway if you touch the tree, you'll still feel her curse energy. Though it's not as strong as the original, it's still quite strong enough to protect this place. " the sorcerer said while touching the tree.

As the brat touched the tree, I felt that familiar curse energy, and memories of her face flashed in my mind. No way... Mari? You... I can't be mistaken, it's her curse energy. But what happened? What's your relationship with him? Why is your curse energy here? What did they do to you? Is she... Am I too late?

I felt something running down my cheek. Huh? Is it raining? I'm in my territory though? As my hand touches my cheek, I realized that I'm crying. Then, suddenly, darkness clouded my vision. And when I opened my eyes, I woke up. Looks like I was dreaming about what happened a few weeks ago.

I have a lot of questions I want to ask her but damn, is that really her? Am I too late? I hope I'm mistaken but until then, that's the only lead I have to you. Since then, every night the brat goes to sleep, I'll use that chance to switch with him and go there myself, only to bring the brat back before he wakes up. I go there to feel her curse energy and to talk to her. After all, the feeling of her curse energy is always soothing to me.I miss her.But...

How can I make you mine again if you're not around anymore?

Chapter 7: Queen of Curses

Summary:

Yuuji's random thought made Sukuna angry.

Chapter Text

Sukuna's POV

Their Exchange Event ended in Tokyo's favor. During the event, there are some interruptions but as usual, that damn sorcerer took care of it. I don't know what those curses are planning, interrupting the event, and storming this school, but they took my fingers with them. Well, whatever, it'll all be consumed by me anyway. As of the moment, the brat's with his classmates and they're in the middle of a lecture. Looks like that sorcerer can be quite a decent teacher if he wants to, huh.

"Hey, Gojō-sensei!" the brat raised his arm, gaining the sorcerer's attention.

"Yes,Yuuji-kun?" the sorcerer responded as his classmates and seniors looked at him as well. Well, they're having some merged subjects that's why his seniors are with them.

"I just had a random thought...ifSukunais the King of Curses, who's the Queen of Curses then? Or is there no Queen of Curses?" the brat asked.

"Oh yeah, now that you mention it, is there someone like that?" her female classmate asked, then the others started thinking about it through minimal discussion.

'Oh? Are you interested in my personal life brat?' I asked in his mind. 'Shut up, I just had a random thought, you know.'

"Hm, who do you think it is,Yuuji-kun?" the sorcerer asked back.

"Hmmm... I'm not sure. Does he even have one?" the brat wondered out loud.Really stupid, brat. You're the one who asked about it. Tch.

"Well, let's askSukunahimself then." I rolled my eyes at what the sorcerer said.

"Sukuna, is there someone known as Queen of Curses?"

"Heh, do you really think that someone can stand close to me and rival me as the King of Curses?" I responded smugly as I emerged a mouth on his cheek.

"I guessnone then. I mean with your attitude, I totally get why you wouldn't have a girlfriend." sighing, the brat shook his head in disapproval.

"Shut up, just so you know, I had a lot of women worshipping me, stupid brat. Don't line me up with the likes of you." I retorted and removed my mouth on his cheek.

"Well, it can't be helped then, I guess I'll answer that question." the sorcerer stated, gaining everyone's attention including mine.Oh? Does he know something? "The truth is, in terms of being the strongest, there is someone known as Queen of Curses. But the real question is if she's related to Sukunaor not." the sorcerer answered.

"Eh? What do you mean, Sensei?" Fushiguro Megumi asked.

"As the Queen of Curses, she may be as strong asSukuna, though I'm not quite sure. But she's most likely to have wider variations in terms of cursed energy techniques. From what I know, she's even able to use each clan's inherited technique."

"Eh?!?!" almost all of them exclaimed.

"Now the question is, who do you think is the Queen of Curses?" the sorcerer asked which made them all wonder among themselves.

"Ne, Sensei, is she Rika? The one with Yūta? I think I heard thatguy mention Rika being the Queen of Curses.Plus, I think Rika can use each clan's inherited technique. Just like how she let Yūta use curse speech likeToge's." the female cursed item user said.Oh? Who's that Rika?

"Salmon." said the curse speech user.

"Well, I'm not sure about what criteriaheused to say that Rika is the Queen of Curses, I mean, yeah she's strong butOkkotsu's the one who made her like that. So technically speaking, she may be the Queen of Curses but it's in terms of a different matter unlike how Sukunais the King of Curses."

"Then, who's the Queen of Curses, Gojō-sensei?" the panda asked.

"Though I'm not quite sure about her relationship withSukuna, the Queen of Curses is...Mari." I felt my whole body flinch, and my eye twitching at the mention of her name. I clenched my fists and glared at the sorcerer.

"That's some intense reaction you have there,Sukuna." the sorcerer stated, seeing through the brat and directly looking at my reaction.

'Switch with me, brat.' I growled in the brat's mind.

"Huh? No way." the brat refused out loud.Tch.

"It's okay,Yuuji-kun. Seems likeSukunawants to say something in person. Switch with him for 1 minute. Is that plenty of time,Sukuna?" the sorcerer stated, probably knowing what I told the brat.

"But Gojō-sensei–"

"It's okay everyone, I'll take care of him."

"Are you sure about this, Gojō-sensei?" the brat asked.

"Yes, yes. Now switch with him and come back after 1 minute." with that, the brat agreed to switch with me for 1 minute, making us form a contract. Taking control of the brat's body, I slowly opened all four of my eyes, tilted my head to the side, and threw him a menacing look.

"Don't. You. Dare. Mention. Her. Name. You. Scum. I'll. Fucking. Kill. You." I growled, glaring and wanting to kill him for sayinghername. How dare he say it? No one has the right to sayher nameexcept for me.

*****
Gojō Satoru'sPOV

"Don't. You. Dare. Mention. Her. Name. You. Scum. I'll. Fucking. Kill. You." Sukuna snarled, giving me a menacing look.

"You sure are angry," I commented.

"Make sure you remember that, you damn sorcerer."

"Of course, it's the second time you said that you'll kill me. It's such an honor to be targeted by the King of Curses himself." I responded.

"And tell your higher-ups..." he started. I decided to record what he was about to say. "Tellall those fuckers at the top that I haven't forgotten what they did. I'll make them all pay a thousand-fold." Sukuna growled before switching with Yuuji.

"Is everything alright?" Yuuji asked as soon as he returned.

"Of course! He just wanted to say something after all. Now then–" the bell rang, cutting me off, indicating the end of classes. "Class dismissed. You'll have missions tomorrow." and with that, I went back to my room.

Now then, what's with Sukuna's message to the higher-ups? It's probably connected to how he was defeated a thousand years ago, right? It's the higher-ups' ancestors who defeated him, though. He probably still holds a grudge against them even if they're descendants of his enemies.

But most importantly, what's his relationship with Mari? I found out from the hidden books and the higher-ups that Mari is the Queen of Curses but they don't know her relation to Sukuna. Though they did mention that they also managed to defeat and sealed her off, it doesn't mean that she's already dead, right? Because if she is, they would've told me they killed her. I'm not the type of guy to use underhanded methods but, I wonder if we can use her against him.

"Gojō-san?" Ijichi called out after knocking three times. I furrowed my eyebrows, what do they want? Sighing, I walked up to the door and opened it. "What is it?" I asked, already having an idea as to why he was here. The higher-ups probably felt Sukuna earlier.

"PrincipalYagasaid he wanted to talk to you regardingSukuna," Ijichi stated. Yep, called it. I removed my blindfold and wore sunglasses before leaving my room with Ijichi.

*****

"The higher-ups are inside and said that they wanted to meet with you right away. PrincipalYaga'salready with them and told me to fetch you." Ijichi said as we stopped in front of a huge double door.

"Got it. Announce my arrival then." I ordered and he nodded.

"Uhm, excuse me, Gojō-san has arrived," he announced through the intercom.

"Let him in." Principal Yaga replied through the intercom as well. And with that, Ijichi opened the door and I walked in. I stood in the center of all dividers. Each of them is behind one 4-panel room divider.

"The Special Class, King of Curses,RyōmenSukunawas completely manifested for 1 minute within school grounds. We entrustedItadorito you, so why isSukunaable to manifest within our HQ, GojōSatoru?" one of them started.

"Well, it's kinda my fault. I gaveYuujipermission to switch." I answered, not giving a damn about them.

"Are you messing with us?! If we letSukunaas it was, this school could've been destroyed!"

"Yuujiis capable of switching withSukunawhenever he pleases. He only does it either with my permission or when all ofthem'sin danger, just like how you guys set them up." I responded, making some of them clench their teeth.

"Tch. Don't forget thatItadoriYuuji'shidden execution, is only on hold."

"Of course, and if it comes to that, don't forget that, just like what I told you withYūta'scase, I'll definitely side withYūji as well," I stated as I glared at each of them.

"Damn you..." one of them cussed. I can definitely say the same thing to them. "Don't forget our main reason as to why we summoned Gojō here. Now then, what didSukunado when he switched withItadorifor 1 minute?"

"Oh, that. Nothing in particular. He just told me that he'll kill me...Well whatever, he won't win against me anyway." I started. Heh, I'll piss them off more by saying Sukuna's message to them. After all, I'll only be delivering his message.

"Oh yeah,Sukunawanted me to deliver a message for you guys. He specifically switched withYuujifor his special message to all of you." I started.

"And what is that?" one of them asked. I brought out my phone, and play the recording.

"Tell all those fuckers at the top that I haven't forgotten what they did. I'll make them all pay a thousand-fold." Sukuna growled through the recording, making them all tense up.

"Bye then," I stated as I slipped my phone into my pocket and went out of the room while they were all still in a trance.

"Geez, what a bunch of tasteless old men. They sure don't change, huh. I still haven't forgiven them for stealing kids' youth, you know. Tch." I muttered to myself as I removed my sunglasses and wore back my blindfold while walking back to my room.

Chapter 8: Prison Realm

Summary:

Gojo Satoru visits Okkotsu Yuta overseas to entrust a prison realm.

Chapter Text

Gojō Satoru's POV

I sat on the couch while letting my thoughts run through my mind. Now then, I'll go check up on Yūta for a second. I should probably call him first though. I brought out my phone and dialed his number.

"Yūta-kun?" I greeted as soon as the call got through.

"Gojō-sensei? Ah, hello, uhm why did you call, Sensei?" Yūta responded.

"Am I not allowed to call a precious student of mine? I'm your relative, you know."

"Ah, sorry. I'm just surprised that you called. Is there anything you need?"

"Hmmm, where are you right now?"

"I'm in Morocco, Sensei. Why?"

"Okay, wait for me there. I'd like to discuss something with you." I told him and teleported in front of him. "Okay– that was fast," he replied as he saw me appear. And with that, we both ended the call.

"Yo!It's nearingHalloween, huh?" I started, sighing at the thought of a soon-to-be busy holiday even though it was still September.

"Yeah..."

"Anyway, do you know what this is?" I asked as I brought out the Prison Realm that the higher-ups ordered me to take care of.

"Uhm, I don't know. It looks like some type of cube or something. Just the same size as the regular Rubik's Cube. What is this, Sensei?" he asks while inspecting and taking a closer look at the cube I brought out.

"This is a Prison Realm. It traps a person that the user wants to imprison. Someone who's been captured by the Prison Realm won't be able to use curse energy or free himself, no matter how strong that person is." I explained.

"Then maybe we can use that on curses?" Yūta suggested as he understood the use of the Prison Realm.

"That's a good idea. However, a Prison Realm can only trap one person at a time. Once someone's trapped inside, you can't use it again and that person will remain inside unless the user deactivates the Prison Realm. Besides, we can just exorcise the curses so there's no need to use Prison Realm on them." I said looking at the sky.

"I see. Then, what is this for?"

"Prison Realm is specifically made to trap strong people. Though it needs at least a minute before it activates, once activated, there's no escaping it."

"Then, is someone already trapped inside this?" he questions, still holding it in his hands.

"Yeah. The higher-ups' trapped someone inside. They didn't mention who it was or if it was an ally or a foe. But they ordered me to always carry it with me, and protect it, I guess?"

"So, maybe it's an ally?"

"Probably. But there's also a possibility that it's a foe. Considering that they entrusted it to me, the strongest sorcerer, there's probably a catch to it as to why they gave it to me."

"Maybe the person inside is, I don't know, in the gray line or something? So the person can probably be both an ally and a foe depending on certain situations," he suggests, tilting his head in the process while handing over the cube.

"I requested to release the trapped person just to see who it was but they refused," I said while playing with the cube in my hands.

"I see. Uhm, ano, Sensei...why are you telling me this?" he questions, wondering about the sudden discussion about the Prison Realm.

"The thing is, I have a bad feeling about this coming Halloween. I'm not exactly sure why but I trust my instincts.I'm worried about the first and second years."

"Eh? What do you mean,Gojō-sensei? Shouldn't you discuss this with the other teachers or the higher-ups?"

"Nah, I don't like them. Anyway, it's a gut feeling so I figured it's better to discuss it with you."

"I understand, but why me, Sensei?"

"You're vacant on October 31st, right?" I asked, clarifying his schedule.

"Yeah, why?"

"Since I really have a bad feeling about this Halloween, I'll entrust this to you that day. Though I'll probably bring it with me first, but if something comes up, I'll definitely teleport this to you, okay?"

"Eh? Are you sure, Sensei?"

"Yeah, it's been with me for 11 years already so, it probably won't deactivate soon. Is that okay with you?"

"It's fine with me, Sensei. Oh wait, maybe I should head back to Japan if something comes up then?"

"Only if you're summoned. I'd like you to prioritize guarding this Prison Realm. If anything happens to me, I'd like you to take care of the first and second-year students, Yūta.Hakarishould be fine."

"If something happens? Like what, getting a girlfriend?" he asked.

"You're now a comedian, huh."

"Well, I can't imagine what would happen to you." he shrugged.

"I'm especially concerned about the first-yearItadoriYuuji. Just like you, he was up for secret execution. If you could keep an eye out, I'd appreciate it." I stated and he just nodded in response. "Where's Miguel?" I asked, just noticing that Miguel's nowhere to be seen.

"He doesn't wanna see you."

"...Anyway,I'm counting on you,OkkotsuYūta," I told him as I put a hand on his shoulder.

"Yeah, you can count on me,Gojō-sensei," he responded.

"Thanks. Ah, and don't mention this to anyone else, alright?" I thanked him as I stood up, slipping the cube back into my inner pocket.

"Alright, I promise not to mention it to anyone, Sensei," he replied, standing up as well.

"Good, I'll be heading back then. Take care,Yūta-kun." I told him while patting his shoulder.

"Thanks,Gojō-sensei." he thanked me. I smiled as a response then teleported myself back to my room.

Timeskipto October 31st, Shibuya Incident Arc
*****

Damn, looks like my bad feeling came true. The curses trapped the people within the screen, using them as a hostage to make me come out. Well, I plan to go and exorcise those curses but I feel like there's something wrong and I should be careful. I held on to the cube tightly, thinking of what to do. Whatever, the others are near anyway, I'll go down the subway to where those curses are.

As soon as I saw them, I immediately fought against the curses but it was troublesome since we were fighting while there were crowds. And they're keeping their distance from me.

Damn, I'm not the type of person to kill people just to kill some curses. They probably learned this from someone and decided to use it against me now. Tch seems like they planned this ahead.

I activated my domain for 0.2 seconds to close the gap with one of the curses. I destroyed its head and proceeded to glare at the others, letting them know of my intent to kill. Then, Suguru Getō, the fucking traitor, appeared.I feel like I'm missing something.I thought to myself then decided to teleport the Prison Realm to Yūta.

I know I killed Getō after he infiltrated the school, wanting to kill and take over Yūta back then, so why the heck is he alive? No, this is not Getō. In appearance, it seems like it's him but the soul inside isn't. I can feel that it isn't him.

As a minute passed in my mind, I felt something take a hold of my arms and legs from behind. Well, fuck- I didn't have to look back to know what it was. It's from a Prison Realm. Damn, I was careless and too distracted from seeing the traitor.

*****
Okkotsu Yūta'sPOV

The Prison Realm Cube suddenly appeared on the table in front of me. Eh?! So something did happen? I wonder if everyone's okay. It'll be alright. Gojō-sensei's with them. He's the strongest. And he said that everyone's stronger than before. So, everyone's supposed to be alright, right?

Suddenly, the cube is illuminated as it's slowly expanding and seems to open itself. Wait what- I thought- Gojō-sensei said it- what do I do? I should probably make a screen first. Yeah, that's it. Calm down, how do they do it again? Ah, I remember now. I held up my fist with the index and middle finger up.

"That which frightens more than darkness itself... That which is darker than black... Purify this defilement." I chanted and the screen started forming itself, surrounding the whole room.

Then, as the Prison Realm completely opened, it released a white-haired woman wearing tattered yukata. She seems about my age. I stood in front of her and took a good look at her face. Even though she has some dirt on her face, she's clearly fair. Her eyelashes and eyebrows are white as well. Her face seems familiar but this is the first time I saw her. She really seems familiar but I just can't put my finger on it. I'll just ask her.

"Uhm hey, who are you? Are you okay? Wait, do you know what happened? Why are you in the Prison Realm? Are you our ally? Can you answer my questions?" I questioned consecutively as I took ahold of her shoulders, slightly shaking her awake. She slowly opened her eyes and blinked a few times. Her eyes are bright blue and it looks really pretty.

"Satoru..." she muttered weakly then suddenly collapsed.

"Hey, hang in there!" I exclaimed as I managed to catch her body before it fell to the floor. Damn, now what do I do?

Chapter 9: The Twin

Summary:

The person released from the prison realm regains her consciousness.

Chapter Text

Yūta's POV

I wrapped her in my trench coat uniform on her to cover her body. She's wearing a tattered yukata, after all. Then, I settled her in my bed as I sat on a stool beside her. She looks so peaceful yet unsettled. I wonder what happened? I'll just clean her face and arms while she's asleep. I'm glad Rika-chan didn't make a fuss when she appeared.

With a plan to take care of her, I stood up and went to the bathroom. I brought out a basin filled with water and a towel then wiped her face. Then, while I was wiping her cheek, her hand grabbed my wrist, making me pause and tensed up. She slowly opened her eyes and blinked a few times to adjust her eyesight. She looked around and her sight landed last on me.

"Who- wait a minute, why am I- where am I? Where'sSatoru?" she asked. Wow her expression changed fast from squinting to eyes widening in realization and looking around as she immediately sat up. Wait, Satoru? It's Gojō-sensei's name, right? Why is she looking for him?

"I need to go findSatoru," she stated as she tried to stand up.

"Hey, wait, I think you should rest more. If you're-" I was cut off when she suddenly cried out in pain. What the hell is happening?

"I can't teleport yet. Do you know how to teleport,Yūta?" she asked as she turned to me. Wha- "I need to findSatoru. I can't teleport yet since I'm drained of cursed energy. I'll explain later. Please, I need to find him." she begged as she looked at me, desperate for me to help her.

"I- uh...butGojō-sensei said...fine I'll-" I was cut off again by her saying something.

"Sukuna," she stated as she tensed up, her hold on my wrist tightening. Her eyebrows are furrowed while she's staring at nothing in particular. "Look over my body for me, I'll be back quick." she requested.

"What-" I cut myself off when her hold on my wrist loosened up and her body collapsed, completely leaning on me with her eyes shut. She's unconscious again. What the heck just happened?

*****
Satori's POV

I woke up to unfamiliar surroundings with an unfamiliar person. I took ahold of his wrist, looking through his memories to gather necessary information.

Okkotsu Yūta, 17 years old, he's a student of Satoru and a distant relative, with the curse Rika-chan. He entrusted my Prison Realm to him so I can trust him too. Satoru said to keep me out of Japan but fuck it, I need to find him now.

Trying to teleport, I remembered and realized that I'm currently drained of curse energy. I only have a few left, I can't do much with them. I tried locating Satoru, only to find out that I can't locate him. Something must've happened. Otherwise, I won't be out of Prison Realm right now. I asked Yūta to help me teleport. He was contemplating whether to agree or not when I felt hiscurse energy.

"Sukuna." I blurted out, tensing up. He's alive? "Look over my body for me, I'll be back quick." I requested not bothering to wait for his response as I focused on locating Sukuna. Once I found him, I focused my remaining cursed energy on my soul and teleported it to where he is.

As I teleported, I immediately spotted Sukuna's vessel. As if on instinct, he looked up to where I was while he was starting to lose his tattoo marks. He really is alive. Then, he returned his attention to someone in front of him.

Looks like they've completely switched. Since I'm in my soul form, I'm pretty sure he didn't see me. I should find Satoru first. I tried floating around, trying to find a trace of Satoru's presence while taking note of the surroundings.

They're fighting some curses but why are they in such a huge public place? Sukuna even used his domain. Though there's a screen activated, it's impossible to not include civilians in this fight. But there are no civilians on sight. What happened here? I'm feeling uneasiness at seeing the surroundings and the fact that I can't find a trace of Satoru.

I'm almost at my limit. I need to find him quickly. Please, be safe and alive, Satoru. As I neared the subway, I suddenly felt a little trace of Satoru's presence and curse energy. He's near, I'm sure of it.

I followed the origin of his trace and ended up above a cube with a man guarding it. What the- there's no mistaking it, that's a Prison Realm. Then, the man looked up at me, making me tense up. I shivered, sensing how strong he is based on his curse energy output. I stared back at him, trying to figure out if he can really see me. But then, I ran out of cursed energy, my body pulling my soul back to it.

*****
Yūta'sPOV

I was walking back and forth, slightly panicking about what I should do when I saw her open her eyes again. I immediately sat beside her. "God, what happened? Are you okay? Why did you-" I cut myself off she grabbed my arms.

"Satoru...please..." she weakly said as she's trying to remain her composure. My eyes widened in response, feeling her high temperature. Then, her body collapsed again, highly likely because of her high fever.

*****

I'm taking care of her for a week now and she still hasn't regained consciousness. I just received a notice about what happened in Japan and was summoned. Gojō-sensei, who is she? What happened to you? She only kept on mumbling your name even in her sleep. I need to go back soon. I've already booked us a flight. I hope she wakes up within this day.

"Uhm, ano,Yūta-san?" I turned around and saw her holding my coat in her arms while she was fidgeting. Thank goodness she's awake. I can go back to Japan now.

"Is it okay if I ask you some questions?" I asked as I turned to face her.

"Sure." she smiled, agreeing with me.

"Hm, I have a lot of questions so I guess I'll ask whatever crosses my mind first. Is that okay?"

"Of course," says she, completely turning to face me.

"Okay then, first things first, how did you know my name?"

"I looked through your memories when I held your wrist. I did it to gather the necessary information that I needed to know at that moment. You're OkkotsuYūta, 17 years old, with a curse named Rika-chan. A student and distant relative ofGojōSatoru."

"Eh?! You can look through memories?" I repeated, clarifying if I heard it right.

"Yeah, it's one of the things I learned." This will be troublesome if she's an enemy.

"I see. What else can you do?"

"Hm, a lot? I can name a few things if you want. Like teleportation, levitation, reading minds and memories, oh I also know some cursed techniques and such. There'rea lot more but I can't do them yet."

"Oh, I see. That's really awesome. But why can't you do some of your techniques or abilities?" I inquired.

"Well, my cursed energy, magic, and other abilities are sealed in a different place. It'll come back to me once I removed its seal."

"How?" I furrowed my eyebrows, confused about how did it happen.

"I can flow it out of my body freely and seal it on my own. Though, I sealed it away from me so that they can imprison me. Otherwise, I can completely free myself out of the Prison Realm since I pretty much disrupt the logic behind its use."

"How and why did they seal you inside the Prison Realm?"

"Ah, well, it's kind of a long story. But to summarize, after I came back from the mission of killing RyōmenSukuna, they were terrified and wanted to kill me because they can sense traces ofSukuna's cursed energy in me."

"Why?"

"Well, they also had an order to imprison me once I come back as a punishment for going on a rampage. When I came back to my senses, I destroyed everything surrounding me."

"Oh...did you kill someone during your rampage?"

"Nope. I only destroyed the surroundings but everyone around me back then was alive and unscathed. After that,I'm exhausted that time so they used it as an opportunity to do a hidden execution."

"That's..." I felt sad, knowing that they intended to kill her despite killing Sukuna for them.

"However, they can't kill me. One reason is, that they're unsure of how they'll deal with Sukunain case he'll be revived. Since they can't destroy his fingers. Another reason is, whatever they do, they just couldn't kill me, just like how they can't destroySukuna'sfingers."

"So, how did they manage to imprison you, then?"

"I came to an agreement with them. I understand where they're coming from anyway. So I suggested that they imprison me using Prison Realm on a set of conditions."

"I see..."

"First, they hesitated. So, I showed a demonstration that they can't seal me simply even using the Prison Realm. After hearing my conditions, they were hesitant but agreed nonetheless."

"What are the conditions?" I asked curiously.

"First, they must keep it a secret. Second, don't let evenGojōSatoruknow about me being sealed. Third, entrust my Prison Realm toGojōSatoru. And fourth, they'll give toGojōSatorumy sealed power, in a different type or Prison Realm, as my remains and let him do whatever he intends to do with it. In return,I'm sealed."

"How did you get out then?"

"I put a seal on my PrisonRealm that'll automatically release me ifSatoru'sin danger. I'm not exactly sure what happened but considering that the seal released me,Satorumustbe in danger."

"MasterGojō'sbeen sealed. I received a notice about the recent incident and planning to head to Japan tomorrow if you still didn't wake up." I shared, letting her know about Gojō-sensei.

"I'll come with you.I need to save him."

"MasterGojō's been exiled. Releasing him would get you exiled too."

"Please, just let me tag along with you to Japan."

"Fine.Ah, by the way, who are you?" I asked, realizing that I haven't asked her name yet.

"I'mGojōSatori,Satoru'solder twin sister. Nice to meet you." she introduced herself and smiled. Eh? Ehhhh?!?!

Chapter 10: Gojo Satori

Summary:

Satori came back to Japan, intending to save her twin brother.

Chapter Text

Satori's POV

"Though based on my appearance now, it seems like I became the younger twin now." I continued, chuckling a bit while Yūta was in the middle of processing everything I'd said.

"Wait a minute,what- why are you- how-" I giggled as he stammered.

"I can time travel, so I can literally transcend time. However, there are some consequences to it. Due to being sealed in the Prison Realm for 11 years, and the consequence of traveling more than a thousand years ago, my aging stopped while I'm sealed. Here's an easier way for you to understand it." I stated then held his cheeks. I showed him the necessary memories for him to completely understand what I told him.

"Oh, I see...that explains it."

"So now that I'm released, I'm now 16 years old. That makes you older than me,Yūta-niichan. Wait, I can call you that right?"

"Yeah, but you'reGojō-sensei's twin, so you can just call me whatever you like. Wait, can I call you, Satori-chan?"

"Of course. And yes, I'm his twin but my age stopped until a week ago, so I'm his twin and younger sister. That makes you my older cousin by months. We'll leave it at that since you're our distant relative."

"So that's why you're familiar." he realized and I just smiled at him as a response.

"Now then, let's head to Japan,Yūta-niichan."

"Okay, but where exactly?I've been summoned by the higher-ups."

"Here," I stated as I showed the place in his mind. He smiled and we walked off towards the airport. Thank goodness, he already booked a flight despite me being unconscious.

*****

We arrived in Japan and he immediately dragged me into a private room to teleport us to the place I'd shown him. Once teleported, I closed my eyes and felt my curse energy surrounding the place. I nodded at him, confirming that this is the right place. We walked towards the tree planted near the edge of the cliff. I smiled as I saw some flowers and unopened boxes of sweet snacks. Even though Satoru thought I'm dead, he still didn't forget about me.

"Satori-chan, why are we here?" Yūta-niichan asked while looking around the place.

"That which frightens more than darkness itself... That which is darker than black... Purify this defilement." I chanted and activated a screen.

"Eh? You can activate a screen without cursed energy?"

"Not really. The air here is made up of my cursed energy, so naturally, it'll obey me. Satoru, or should I call himSatoru-niichannow?" I asked but Yūta-niichan just shrugged. "Anyway,Satoru buried it here with a plant. Through photosynthesis and carbon cycle, my cursed energy is flowing through the air here, completely protecting the place." I continued. I touched the tree's trunk and leaned my forehead toward it. I closed my eyes, focusing on finding where exactly is it. I smiled, realizing it was already in front of me, just inside the tree.

"Yūta-niichan, I found it," I told him.

"Where is it?" Yūta-niichan asked as he stood beside me. "Here. I'll release it now." I pointed where it was and penetrated the trunk using my hand. Yūta-niichan's eyes widened in surprise as I pulled out the cube containing my sealed power.

I unleashed the seal, releasing my power, and emptying its container. Then, it all flowed back to me, including the cursed energy flowing through the air. I felt power surge through my whole body, my eyes and hair constantly changing colors.

"Are you okay?" Yūta-niichan asked as I returned to my original appearance.

"Yeah, I feel better. I'll test it out first." I said and he agreed. Inhaling a deep breath, I cleared my mind and decided to try using my other form. I sealed all negativity deep within me and let the positive energy take over my body. As I opened my eyes, I found Yūta-niichan staring with his mouth slightly agape.

I saw my change of appearance through my reflection in his eyes. My right eye's pupil turned to gold and my iris turned white, while the left turned into black pupil and silver iris. A gold mark of Caduceus symbol on my face, starting from above my right eyebrow until my cheekbone. My long hair changed from white into sunflower blonde with silver highlights. My clothing changed into a Greek Goddess' white dress. Half should be enough, I still need to hide my presence after all.

"Wow...you look like a goddess, Satori-chan." Yūta-niichan complimented.

"Thanks,Yūta-niichan. Can I come with you to school?" I asked.

"Sure." he agreed and teleported us to Tokyo.

*****

After killing a curse to save a child, I healed the child and returned to my original form then we went to HQ. Thanks to Yūta-niichan, I was able to enter the barrier and tag along inside. "Sorry, Satori-chan. I can't bring you inside. Wait for me?" Yūta-niichan asked as we stopped in front of the huge double door.

"Sure. I'll wait for you here." I smiled at him. Smiling back, he then knocked and went inside. I wasn't the type to eavesdrop but I feel like I should so I did.

"OkkotsuYūta,good work." one of them asked.

"You don't really intend to thank me, let's just get to the main point."

"ItadoriYuuji'ssuspended sentence is now back in effect and he is to be executed immediately. You're appointed to be the one to execute him." another one told him.ItadoriYuuji?Sukuna'svessel andSatoru'sstudent? But,Satorutalked them into suspendingItadori'sexecution...

"The details will come later.GojōSatoruhas been sealed. Since he's deemed as an accomplice toGetōSuguru, who caused the latest incident in Shibuya, he's permanently exiled from the jujutsu world. Undoing his seal will be considered a crime."what thefuckdid they just say?

"I don't care if he's MasterGojō'spupil. He cut offInumaki'sarm in Shibuya. I will kill him myself." Yūta-niichan stated. I can feel his anger just from the tone of his voice. He should be an actor as a sideline. The higher-ups only agreed when Yūta entered a binding vow. He came out while I'm leaning on the wall.

"Let's go, Satori-chan." Yūta-niichan smiled at me.

"You can go ahead,Yūta-niichan. I'll meet with you later." I told him.

"You sure? I have a new mission to accomplish."

"Yeah. Don't worry, I can find you and meet you later. Can I talk to Rika-chan?" he agreed and called Rika-chan. "Rika-chan, I'm counting on you to keepYūta-niichansafe, alright?" I told her as she agrees. We bid goodbye then they went off. After they left, I pushed the door open, harshly, making them all turn their attention to me.

"You're..." one of them trailed off as most of them tensed up, realizing who I am.

"How did you get out? What's the meaning of this?" one of them asks.

"I let you all seal me and this is the thanks that I get? Well,Satoru'sthe one keeping me sealed. So, surprise fuckers, I'm back. Don't worry though, I couldn't care less about any of you." I stated, turning my eyes back into bright blue ones from silver and white, running a hand through my hair as it returned to white.

"Why are you out? What do you want?We already have a lot of problems to deal with."

"Do you guys have any idea as to why curses can't roam freely and spread destruction, despite the existence ofSukuna'sfingers and vessel?" I asked them.

"Because of, us, sorcerers. But now, a lot of curses are released because ofGojōSatoruandGetōSuguru." one of them answers.

"Oh? Well, you're not wrong but you're not right either."

"What do you mean by that?"

"GojōSatoru. Being the strongest sorcerer, curses are afraid of his existence, knowing that he can kill them in an instant unless they're as strong as Sukuna. However, what they didn't know is that, even ifSukuna'sresurrected,Satorucan still win against him but that's not important right now." I started, pausing to see their reactions. They were all silent, huh.

"Now then, let's talk aboutSukuna. He's known as the most powerful curse, having the title of King of Curses for himself. That's why, curses are attracted to eat his fingers, to gain a part of Sukuna'spower, to be stronger, so that they can be strong enough to be out in the open." I continued.

"What's your point?" one of them asks impatiently, confused.

"My point is that GojōSatoruandRyōmenSukuna's existence is what's keeping the balance in the world of jujutsu. If the balance crumbles, what do you think will happen? Chaos will spread in the world of jujutsu, that is. Depending on which side crumbles first, the other side will gain its advantage. That's why those 'special high-grade curses' set up a plan of sealing GojōSatoruand pulled it off. As a result, curses are roaming around, spreading chaos and fear. Since you deemedSatoruas an accomplice, you needed to replace him with someone else to be the 'strongest sorcerer'. And your plan is, to makeYūtathe strongest sorcerer, by having him executeItadoriYuuji, who'sSukuna'scurrent vessel. Am I right?"

"..."

"Well, sorry to burst your bubble but at this time, now that curses are spreading chaos everywhere, Satoru can't be replaced so easily aside from me. And if there's really someone who can replace him, the one with the highest potential to replace him isSukuna'svessel,ItadoriYūji himself but he will be nowhere replacing Satoru. Yeah, sure, Yūta's capable and has the potential in replacing Satorubut the truth is, he may be able to reach nearSatoru's level but he can't replace him. Well, I don't care about the jujutsu world, y'all sealed me after all, you know. So, I can do whatever I please."

"What are you planning?"

"Hmm, what else? I'll release my twin brother, of course." I smirked.

"UnsealingGojōSatoruis forbidden! He's an accomplice to the latest incident!" jeez, they sure are stubborn.

"Oh? Try me.And let me tell you this,Satoru'snot their accomplice." I replied, changing my right orb into red while my left eye into black.

"How sure are you?" "We'll stop you and seal you again." one of them declared. That guy's probably a new one. He doesn't know that I can't be sealed completely.

"Go ahead. You're free to try as much as you like. However, if you delay me one more second from saving my brother... I'll kill you all right here, right now." I growled, directing my bloodlust to all of them, glaring at them all. I smirked, seeing them not moving a muscle despite preparing themselves to fight me a while ago.

"That's what I thought. Well, I'll be going now. Oh, let me just remind you, killingItadoriYūjiwon't be easy.Sukunahimself might even interfere. Ah, and don't worry, I won't interfere with your affairs. But, if you get in my way, I won't hesitate to kill just to save my brother. Other than him, I truly don't care." I warned and walked off, leaving them to do whatever they like.

I'm sorry, Satoru . I promise not to kill anyone unless that's the only option I have to save you. Wait for me, I'll definitely save you.

Chapter 11: The Deal

Summary:

The higher-ups summoned Satori to ask for her help.

Chapter Text

Satori's POV

Exiting the room, I sighed, finally being able to relieve a bit of the tension I'd been feeling. Now then, I need to gather information. With this goal in mind, I went to find Satoru's dorm. After walking around, I finally found it and entered. Locking the door, I looked around and decided to rest for today and then gather information tomorrow.

Sighing, I decided to take a shower. After showering, I wrapped myself in Satoru's towel and checked his closet. I took out a plain black long-sleeved shirt and white pants and laid them on the bed. I changed my right eye into navy blue and the left one into silver. Then, I snapped my fingers and made underwear using magic. I wore the underwear and looked around for some scissors.

After finding one, I cut Satoru's white pants and turned them into shorts. Satisfied, I dressed up and tied my long white hair into a messy bun after drying it. And then, returned my bright blue eyes while concealing any trace of my presence. I went out and searched for food in his kitchen. I found the ramen and cooked it then wrote a note to him that I ate his ramen and posted it on his fridge. After eating, I cleaned up and went back to his room to lie down on his bed. His bed, pillows, and clothes all have his scent on them. Sighing, I lay on the side while hugging one of his pillows.

I wonder what will his reaction be if he found me sleeping on his bed? Will he be happy? I wonder what he usually does in his free time? Did he have a girlfriend during the 11 years I was sealed? Did he make friends? What were his friends like? Was he happy? Was he lonely? Did he move on from my death? I would've wished he forgot about me already but thinking about it, makes me feel sick.

I wish I could've spent 11 years with you instead rather than being sealed. I wish I was with you during the time you feel happy, sad, angry, or whatever you're feeling. I wish I could've protected you more, Satoru. I wish I was brave enough to face them than let you be alone on your own. I wish I was with you in everything that you've been through. How much I wish that I'd been the best sister you could've asked for. I wish I was with you the whole time.

I sat up, looking around to distract myself from crying. Then, my eyes landed on two picture frames above his nightstand, in front of the lamp. I grabbed the picture frames to look at the pictures closer and realized it was a picture of me and a picture of the two of us. The photo was taken a year before I went back to the past. I promised him that I'll finally finish the mission that time and be back to him. But, damn, I was imprisoned after I came back while Satoru was on a mission. My tears started falling, remembering the memories of the short times I'd spent with Satoru.

I'm the worst sister ever. I miss him so much. I want him back and to be happy rather than him being sealed. It's better that I'm the one inside the Prison Realm than him. I'm such an idiot. Why did I leave my twin brother all alone? Why did I accept that mission? Oh, right... It was to save everyone from Sukuna. But-

I shouldn't have left Satoru alone afterward. I've managed to save humanity but I couldn't even protect my only brother. I really am the worst. Satoru...I don't know what to do...I wish this is all a dream instead. I kept crying, hugging our picture until I fell asleep.

*****

The next morning, I felt my eyelids are puffier than normal. I glanced around, realizing that this is now my reality. Sighing, I stood up to wash my face and brush my teeth. I cooked up some breakfast and wrote a note about eating his food supply. And borrowing some of his clothes. After eating, I cleaned up and took a shower. I turned my left eye into pink and then created things that I needed.

I wore his longest black turtleneck sweater, making it fitted yet stretchable, turning it into a short dress. Satoru sure is tall, huh. His top can even be my short dress. I snapped my fingers to create a pair of black thigh-high boots with heels. I returned my left eye to bright blue, then wore the black heels that I just created. I took one of his round sunglasses with a black lens and wore it. I left my long white hair as it is and looked at my reflection in his full-length mirror. I look decent enough. I took his dorm key above his nightstand. Then, I heard someone knocking outside Satoru's dorm.

Oh, they probably figured out that I haven't left yet. Whatever, I wanted to make a deal with them anyway. Sighing, I walked out of the room and wore Yūta-kun's white trench coat then opened the door. A slightly taller man wearing a black suit and glasses with black hair and sunken cheeks came into view. He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, seeing my appearance.

Of course, he'll be confused. I look exactly like my twin brother, except for my height, and of course, I'm more feminine in appearance. I raised my eyebrow at him and he cleared his throat upon realization of what he was doing here.

"Uhm, good morning. I'mKiyotakaIjichi. The higher-ups were summoning you. Please follow me." he stated and backed a few steps away while keeping his head down.

I exited Satoru's dorm and locked it, putting the key inside my pocket. He lead the way while I followed. After a few minutes of walking, we stopped in front of the same huge double door from yesterday. After announcing my arrival, the doors opened up for me to enter. I thanked him and entered the room, sauntering towards the center. As I stood at the center, one of them cleared their throat.

"Thank you for sparing us some of your time-" one of them started but I cut him off. I don't have time for their pleasantries.

"Let's not waste it then and start telling me why'd you summon me," I spoke in a bored tone. I have a vague idea as to why they've summoned me but depending on what it is, I'll strike a deal with them.

"After thorough discussion, we'd like to lift your imprisonment. In return, help us deal with the current situation."

"How about a no?" I challenged, smirking.

"Then, we'll do everything we can to seal you again." a woman answered.

"Good luck with that." I scoffed.

"What do you want in return then?" one of them asked.

"Hm, let's see...what about letting out Satoru and lifting his exile?"

"Gojō Satoru is an accomplice. He shouldn't be released." one of them retorted.

"He doesn't need anyone's help to wipe out everyone if he really intends to. Fun fact, he didn't intend for the Shibuya incident to happen. So why make him take the blame? Can't catch the bad guy?"

"..."

"If you really want to fix the current situation, release Satoru."

"But-" one of them was about to complain so I cut them off.

"Aish, you're all really stubborn, huh? Fine, then. If you really want to make a deal with me, I'll gather evidence to prove Satoru's innocence and release him to deal with everything else. That'll be easier and it's a guarantee that Satoru will help once he's released. You can lift his exile once you've received the evidence. Deal?" I offered, smirking at them, knowing full well they'll agree to my terms.

"..."

"What? Not satisfied? I'll enter a binding vow of not making fabricated evidence if you want?" I asked. They looked at each other and nodded.

"Fine... but we'll only lift his punishment if he's proven innocent." one of them spoke up, agreeing to what I offered. I smiled and we started to make a binding vow.

*****

Exiting the room, I headed back to Satoru's dorm. As I entered, I went straight to his bedroom and plopped down on his bed. Talking to them is really exhausting. Sitting up, I sighed.

Now then, what should I do first? Naturally, I need to gather information firsthand and then decide what to do next based on it. If it's information I want, I guess I can ask Yūta first.

And so, I changed my left eye into a platinum orb while maintaining my bright blue one on the right. I closed my eyes and focused on finding Yūta's any trace of presence.

If you're wondering about my changing eye colors, I have 12 forms with different eye colors and appearances. I usually just change the eye color for minimum use, depending on the circumstances. Each form, of course, works differently than the other. However, I can mix and match them to use two forms at the same time. Hence, why I change one eye color.

My default form is with bright blue eyes and white hair, looking exactly like a female version of Satoru. Meanwhile, my ultimate form has navy blue eyes, white hair, and some black tattoos with gold designs within.

I found Yūta but there were some people with him. I'll just watch over them for now and talk to him once he's alone.

Chapter 12: Conversation with Okkotsu Yūta

Summary:

Satori communicates with Yūta for information about the current situation.

Chapter Text

Satori's POV

They left the barrier and went their own ways. Sukuna's vessel's leaving with a black-haired guy, who looks familiar, I just can't put my finger on it. The female with glasses leaves on her own, while Yūta's also on his own. The two people, which is a man and a woman, who was with them earlier, didn't leave. Oh, they're probably guarding Tengen.

Tengen's cursed technique is immortality but he still ages. He's the most powerful sorcerer on casting barriers aside from me. His barrier hides rather than protects. So, once infiltrated, it's kinda useless. He looks really old. But, I thought he'll merge with a star plasma vessel back then? Did Satoru fail? I wonder what happened. Whatever, I'll ask Satoru once he's released. Oh, right. I can't because I'll be sealed again. No, this is not the time to think about it.

When the others left, I contacted Yūta-niichan through telepathy. He was surprised at first but responded nonetheless.

'Hey, Yūta-niichan. It's me, Satori.'

"Satori-chan?" he spoke out loud, making me giggle.

'You don't have to speak aloud. Just speak in your mind and I'll still hear it.' I explained and he nodded.

'Okay. Does this work?'

'Yes.'

'I see... anyway, why'd you contact me, Satori-chan? Is there anything I can help you with?' he asked while walking on his way towards his destination.

'Yeah... I'm currently in Satoru's dorm. I was wondering if you can give me information about the situation.'

'I can meet you there if you want?'

'No need, nii-chan. It's fine. I'm about to leave anyway. I just really need some information.' I told him through telepathy, while I stood up, stretching, preparing myself to leave for my mission of saving Satoru.

'Okay, then. About the information, let's see...Gojō-sensei's sealed and he's exiled. You know that already because of the notice I received overseas. I killedYuuji,Sukuna'svessel, and revived him again. We're currently doing our own task regarding the Culling Game after gathering information from Tengen-sama.' he started.

'I see...uh, before you explain the rules of Culling Game, nii-chan, I just wanna know... who's the guy withSukuna'svessel?'

'Oh, him? Sure. He'sFushiguroMegumi. A student of Gojō-sensei and currently head ofZen'in'sfamily. Why'd you ask?'

'Fushiguro, huh...' Is he related to Toji-san?

'Huh?' Yūta-niichan asked, confused.

'Nevermind. Please explain the Culling Game to me, Yūta-nii, and all the information you've gathered from Tengen as well.' I requested, changing the topic.

'The Culling Game was planned and executed byNoritoshiKamo, also known asKenjaku, who is a sorcerer from a thousand years ago and the mastermind behind Gojō-sensei's sealing. The Culling Game has 8 rules overall. I'll send you a letter regarding the rules. What's left to discuss is whyNoritoshiKamo'sexecuted the Culling Game.'

'Okay... Then please, tell me the other information that you have.'

'Sure.NoritoshiKamo'sdoing the Culling Game to force Tengen-sama'smerging with humankind. His objective is to force the evolution of human beings all throughout the land of Japan. And the method he chose is through merging.'

'I see... it's indeed possible. After all, Tengen seems to fail to merge with a Star Plasma Vessel eleven years ago. Therefore, forcing his evolution, turning him into more of a cursed spirit rather than a human being, which makes him vulnerable to curse manipulation. Since he's a sorcerer from a thousand years ago, he's probably involved with Sukuna. That's why, Tengen needs guards, huh.'

'Oh, you figured it out. That makes the explanation shorter then. Tengen-samasaid that the Six Eyes, Star Plasma Vessel, and he are all connected by fate. And that two bearers of the Six Eyes cannot appear at the same time. Oh, right, about that part, I'm wondering do you also have Six Eyes?' Yūta-niichan asked. I guess I should tell him.

'Yeah...what Tengen said is true, however, I'm a bearer of Six Eyes from the past, not the same time as Satoru's. I'm originally from a thousand years ago, sent and born 28 years ago as Satoru's twin sister. Only to be sent back to thousand years ago to accomplish my mission. I'm someone who literally transcends time and the reason whySukuna'sdefeated. Technically speaking, I'm sent to the future back then, therefore not being there a thousand years ago, resulting in the birth of another bearer of Six Eyes. That's why Satoru and I are both bearers of Six Eyes and Limitless. However, I have 11 other forms, unlike Satoru.' I explained, roaming around Satoru's dorm to find something that holds memories.

'I see. That clears up the contradiction. Going back, Tengen-samasaid that the unexpected happened, whenZen'inTojiintervened.'

'Toji-san?' I repeated, wondering if I heard it right.

'Uh, yeah, do you know him?'

'Yeah. He was physically gifted through heavenly restriction and an anomaly that escaped from curse energy. I see, it makes sense for him to be able to destroy their fate because he's literally someone who escaped fate through the power of restriction.' I stated, remembering Toji-san. I wonder what happened between him and Satoru. Is he still alive?

'Yes. That's what Tengen-samasaid so too. Then, someone with curse manipulation appeared, completingNoritoshiKamo'spieces except the Prison Realm, which he also acquired six years ago.'

'So, the reason why the Culling Game is happening is to break into the body, before merging. He's using the Culling Game as a ritual to convey human beings to the other side, to begin the merging. If that's the case, then, Kenjakusurely undertook certain binding vows. Which means, he's not the Game Master, right?'

'Yes. So, killing him won't end the game.'

'Got it. Then, what about Satoru's seal?'

'The Prison Realm has a front and back gate. Authority to open it rests on the bearer of the front, which in Gojō-sensei's case, isNoritoshiKamo. Forcing open the back requires either the Inverted Spear of Heaven that nullifies cursed techniques, or the Black Rope that disrupts and cancels cursed technique effects.'

'With those tools, it's possible to release Satoru even withoutKenjaku'sauthority, right?'

'Yeah, however, Sensei sealed the Inverted Spear of Heaven overseas 11 years ago or destroyed it. And last year, Gojō-sensei got rid of all the Black Rope. I looked for the remaining Black Rope in Africa with Miguel but it's a fruitless effort.' Yūta-niichan sighed disapprovingly.

'But there's still a way, right?' I asked, hoping that there was another way to release Satoru.

'Tengen-samasaid there is. Among the players is another sorcerer from a thousand years ago, who calls herself an angel. Her cursed technique can extinguish any cursed technique.'

'If I remember correctly, her name is HanaKurusu. I don't exactly know her in person but what Tengen said about her is true. With her cursed technique, we can open the back of Satoru's Prison Realm and free him. Extinguishing cursed technique huh? So, where is she?' I asked, despite the possibility that I can do that. But, I need pieces of evidence of Satoru's innocence first before releasing him. If it needs a replacement, I'll replace him inside.

'She's in the colony on the east side of Tokyo. Tengen-samaexplained that there are 10 colonies around Japan and they're connected by barriers that form a line to send humans to the other side. Hokkaido is not included because of the jujutsu society's barrier. The ritual will depend on the game but he thinks that two months should suffice. Today's November 9 so players still have roughly 10 days and 15 hours before declaring their participation. Refusing will result in the player's death according to the rules.'

'What about the Game Master then?' I asked. Because, if there's a quick way to stop the game, it's through confronting the Game Master itself.

'He said that each player will receive aShikigamicalled aKogane. But it's less Game Master than an interface. So, we may think of the Game Master as the Culling Game's program. After collecting 100 points by eliminating players, one may spend the points to negotiate with the Game Master. Sorcerers are worth 5 points each while non-sorcerers are worth 1 point.'

'I think I understand. So, what are your plans?' I asked so that I won't accidentally go against them.

'Well, our plan consists of Yuki andChosostaying and guarding Master Tengen. Maki will return to theZen'in Clan and collect cursed tools then find Panda to address the game. Strategy-wise, I'll enter a colony and participate in the game. I'll avoid nearby colonies so we don't end up killing each other. I'm slightly worried about my deal with ItadoriYuujito kill him once he switches with Sukuna to keepMegumisafe but it's more sufficient for me to operate alone.'

'So, in the end, you'll operate alone, right?'

'Yeah. Lastly,MegumiandItadoriwill go toHakariKinji, a suspended third-year. He's moody but once he's worked up, he's stronger than I am. Maki said we gotta rope in whoever we can because we're short-handed. Oh, speaking of that, can you join our plan, Satori-chan? Our overall plan is to free Gojō-sensei since he can deal with everything by himself afterward.'

'I see. That sounds tempting but, I need to do something else first to assure Satoru's safety in the jujutsu society before releasing him. I'll join you afterward.'

'Do you want our help with that?'

'No need, Yūta-niichan. I can handle it myself. I'd like your team to focus on freeing Satoru so that I can focus on assuring his safety and freedom once he's freed. Can I entrust your team to freeing my twin brother?'

'Of course. You can count on us, Satori-chan.'

'Thank you. I'll keep in touch with you. Don't worry about the barriers, my telepathy can pass through them. If you want to tell me something, just call my name in your mind first so I can hear it. Then, proceed to tell me once I responded.'

'Understood. I'll send the letter about the Culling Game's rules before entering a colony.'

'Alright. Be careful, Yūta-kun.'

'You too, Satori-chan.' he replied and with that, I ended the telepathy. I've attached a trace of my ability to him so that once he calls for me, I'll be able to hear it.

Oh, right, water has memories. I'll use my magic form to see and record necessary memories in proving Satoru's innocence. That should suffice. I can still gather more while meeting up with Yūta-nii.

A minute passed and I heard a knock on the door again. Ijichi? He's holding a letter. Yūta-kun probably asked him to deliver it to me. I opened the door and received the letter. I thanked him and he left after bowing. Shrugging, I closed and locked the door and went back to Satoru's bedroom to sit on his bed. I opened the envelope and it contained two letters, both from Yūta-niichan.

One letter is about him saying which colony he entered and descriptions of his classmates, juniors, and the other two who were part of his team, so that I won't accidentally kill an ally. The other letter is composed of only the rules regarding the Culling Game. (A/N: see attached photo below to read the Culling Game's rules)

Turns out, I really have to kill people. Whatever, I'll just revive them once I took their points. After all, it didn't say in the rules that revival isn't allowed.

Chapter 13: Reuniting With Yūta

Summary:

Satori reunites with Yūta and meets his group.

Chapter Text

Satori's POV

After reading the letters, I changed my eyes into pink orbs and hair into black with pink highlights, then teleported the letters to my magic domain. Since water is basically a part of nature, I changed my right eye to emerald green, then green tattoo markings of vines appeared on my right arm. I need both magic and nature after all. I inhaled deeply and started the task. I asked the water in Satoru's dorm to show me what caused the Shibuya Incident and used a crystal orb to record it.

The water showed me relevant memories of what caused the Shibuya Incident, starting from the curses meeting up at a cafe until Satoru was sealed and Satoru's relation to Getō Suguru. He's his best friend, along with a girl named Ieri Shoko. I'm glad he was able to make friends.

Then, the Shibuya Incident was planned by the curses to seal Satoru. Kenjaku's inhabiting Getō Suguru's body, which is Satoru's former best friend. The fight also shows how Satoru did his best to minimize the damage to the civilians despite fighting special grades in the middle of a crowd. Then, by seeing his best friend's body, Satoru was distracted and the conditions for activating Prison Realm were met, therefore sealing him.

I see... They chose to seal Satoru so that there won't be another bearer of Six Eyes. They also sealed Satoru probably because he's the strongest sorcerer. He, alone, can take care of the mess they're doing and won't let them succeed. This should be enough to prove that Satoru really is innocent. Now, I just have to help Yūta and the others to free him after I settle this case with the higher-ups.

Feeling my magic starting to weaken, I made the water still and thanked it before returning it to its rightful place. After making sure that I'd completely recorded the evidence through the crystal ball, I returned to my original form, exhausting my stamina.

I'm still not yet used to changing forms and constantly using them. Eleven years of being sealed really had its effects, huh? Can't blame my body though, I was drained when I got sealed and was imprisoned for more than a decade. My body and forms are probably still adjusting to each other again after being away from each other for eleven years. Hopefully, though, my stamina before will return soon, and my body adjusts before I enter a colony.

Sighing, I took off the sunglasses and put them on the nightstand. I closed my eyes for a bit, dozing off without realizing it.

*****

I woke up the next day and washed my face. After doing my morning routines, I decided to use the same set of clothes I was wearing so I used magic to wash and dry them.

Having magic gives me an advantage. Especially since I'm kind of a lazy person. After dressing up, I decided to wear Satoru's dress shirt over the short dress without buttoning it, then draped Yūta's trenchcoat on my shoulders and wore vintage round sunglasses with black lenses.

I used magic to prepare a birthday surprise for Satoru when he comes back. I've sealed it under the condition that it'll automatically unseal and show him the surprise on our birthday. I cleaned up and wrote a letter to him, hiding it behind our picture on his nightstand. Afterward, I locked his dorm and sealed it as well, making him the only person aside from me to open it firsthand once I left the premises. Satisfied with my surprise for him, I smiled and walked off.

I hope my surprise will at least put a smile on your face, Satoru. Now then, time to deal with important matters.

*****

The higher-ups accepted my evidence and said that they'll review it. After a few hours of waiting, they realized that I was released from the binding vow because I managed to collect pieces of evidence without fabricating them. As a result, they believed the proof that I'd shown them and lifted Satoru's exile. I told them to not announce it yet and just let him know, in person, once everything was settled. They agreed and let me leave to rescue my twin brother.

Wait for me, Satoru. I'll definitely save you.

*****

After a day of searching for a faraway colony, I entered the game and participated by killing cursed users and sorcerers and then reviving them after gaining their points. I'm feeling guilty about killing them, even if I did it fast and revived them afterward, but I have to do it.

After a short while, I've managed to acquire more than 200 points but I haven't spent any of it yet, in case Yūta-niichan and the others need it.

Days passed and Yūta-kun finally called for me in his mind. He's with the others. I can't show myself to Sukuna yet. I want to save Satoru first but I also have to protect Satoru's students too. Sighing, I responded to his call and he asked me if it was possible to meet up. I agreed but in return, he'll help me hide my identity by saying that he met me overseas. He agreed and I asked him to give me two minutes to change my appearance and teleport to where they are.

I changed my eyes into navy blue and my hair from white into mermaid pastel. A golden goddess symbol appeared on my forehead, a tiny gold caduceus symbol below my left eye. Wrists, as well as the rest of the body, with the same black lines as Sukuna's, only for the black lines to have thin gold vines within them. My nails became longer and sharper and were painted with a galaxy design. I have white wings but I chose to hide them for now.

My ultimate form should be good, right? I can react to any situation and I can also hide my real presence from Sukuna. Whatever, once I saved Satoru, I'll deal with Sukuna.

I teleported behind Yūta-kun and they all froze, seeing me. I smiled and tapped Yūta-niichan's shoulder. He turned around and smiled as he saw me. He hugged me as relief washed over him upon seeing me unscathed and I hugged him back. I can feel Maki shooting me daggers through her stare. Does she like Yūta-niichan? Yūta released me from the hug and turned his attention to them.

"Hey, everyone. She's the one I told you about that arrived here in Japan with me. I met her overseas." he started as they all listened. I can feel Sukuna's stare from inside his vessel. Did he find out?

"Hi, uh, I'm...Sakura." I introduced, coming up with the name on the spot. Damn, it's too obvious that it's really made up.

"How can she help us?" Megumi asked. Glad, I memorized their names. But I feel like they're doubting me. I can't blame them though.

"She's a special grade sorcerer and someone stronger than me," Yūta answered. He's not wrong but he could've said that I'm just someone close to his level.

"Oh? What's your cursed technique?" Well fuck- I felt Yūta freeze as well. We're both taken aback by the sudden question of Hakari.

"Uh...imitation," I answered, remembering Yūta's cursed technique. Mine's not exactly that but whatever. It's easier if they'll think it's imitation. However, I'm feeling uncomfortable with Sukuna's intense stare. One of his eyes below Yuuji's opened and currently staring at me. He's not even hiding the fact that he's staring.

"Yeah, she can copy others' cursed techniques when she saw it once," Yūta-niichan added right away as we both recovered our composure.

"Can you show us?" Maki requested.

"Uh, sure. Can someone show me their cursed technique first?"

"I'll go." Megumi volunteered.

Seeing him up close, he looks similar to Toji-san. Fushiguro...Megumi... Zen'in Clan head... Toji Zen'in... Toji Fushiguro. Fushiguro... Oh! I get it now! He'stheMegumi with Toji-san from before! I wonder where's Toji-san.

"What? Do you not want me to?" He questions, furrowing his eyebrows as he saw me staring at him.

"Oh, sorry. Go ahead." I apologized and he nodded. He made a gesture with his hands before speaking.

"Divine Dog," he stated, summoning a Shikigami with the appearance of a big black and white dog. Oh, so he has the Ten Shadows technique.

Yūta-niichan looked at me worriedly while I just smiled at him. I copied Megumi's hand gesture before speaking as well. "Divine Dogs," I stated, summoning two larger wolfs, a white one and a black one, who are both stronger than Megumi's. Seeing everyone convinced, we both dispelled our techniques but at the corner of my eye, I saw Sukuna smirking.

His expression's making me kinda nervous. I hope that settles it. I didn't exactly imitate it though. I also have the Ten Shadows Technique. I inherited it as well, along with the Six Eyes and Limitless. Though, I can indeed imitate others' cursed techniques too.

"That was cool! Can you copy Gojō-sensei's ability?" Yuuji asked.

"I haven't seen your Sensei's cursed technique yet." I lied. I don't have to see it to copy his technique and besides, I don't have to copy it since I also have his techniques and learned it all by myself.

"I see... She's indeed a great addition to our team! I'm HakariKinji, a suspended third-year." Hakari agreed and then introduced himself. I shook his hand and introduced myself again as Sakura.

"Sorry if we seem rude, my name's Zen'in Maki." Maki introduced herself and smiled.

"Oh, it's okay. I totally understand." I replied and smiled back.

"I'mFushiguroMegumi and she's my sister,Tsumiki." Megumi introduced, frowning while his sister smiled.

"Are you related toToji-san?" I asked. He seemed confused at my question.

"Sorry, forget about my question," I said and he just nodded, brushing off my question.

"I'm Panda. But I'm not a panda." Panda introduced.

"Wow, you look really cute," I commented, looking at him. It's my first time after 11 years to see a panda.

"Thanks!" he replied and smiled. I looked at Sukuna's vessel, waiting for him to introduce himself too even if I already knew their names.

"And you are?" I asked, noticing him staring too long.

"Ah, sorry, I'm Itadori Yuuji." He introduced then a mouth emerged on his cheek. "He's my vessel. Hey, brat, you seem familiar. Are you from a thousand years ago? You're not human, aren't you?" Sukuna intervened and everyone focused their gaze on me. I hope he didn't find out yet.

Sukuna's POV

I've been staring at the new brat who arrived while they were talking to each other. She's hot and really pretty but she reminds me ofher. I've been observing her since she arrived and I know she knows it. It's odd that I can't seem to see through her soul, just like with her before. I can feel her immense curse energy but at the same time, I can't feel any of it. Her scent, her figure, her face, her voice, her presence, her cursed energy, this sensation, it all reminds me ofher. If what she said is true, then, did she meether?

"He's my vessel. Hey, brat, you seem familiar. Are you from a thousand years ago as well? You're not human, aren't you?" I questioned.

"Sorry, don't mind him." the brat stated, slapping the mouth that I grew on his cheek.

"Oh, it's okay. And Sukuna? I'll let you know my answer to your question once everything's settled." she answered nonchalantly and turned her attention to the brat who killed this stupid vessel of mine, only to revive him afterward. Her response made my eyebrow raise but I didn't press on it any further.

"So,Yūta-kun, mind telling me about the plan?"

"The plan is to find the angel and make her help us free Gojō-sensei. And also, to not letTsumikiand the others participate." The shadow user brat answered.

"Yeah, but since you're here, I think we don't have to do that anymore. We can just find her and have her show you her cursed technique and make you free Gojō-sensei." The woman added.

"Unless you already know how to extinguish cursed techniques?" The suspended brat asked.

"I'm not sure but I think we should find Hana Kurusu first."

"Hana Kurusu? Who's that?" the brat asked.

"Oh, that's the name of the angel you were looking for."

"Do you know her?" the panda asked.

"Uh, just heard her name and cursed technique."

"Anyway, we have less than two days to find her and release Gojō-sensei. We know from Tengen-samathat she's in this colony. What's left is to find NoritoshiKamoand take Gojō-sensei's Prison Realm from him. If we managed to do that, Sensei can take care of everything afterward."

"Yūta'sright. But for now, I think you guys should rest. You look too tired. I'll stay on guard, don't worry." she stated, making everyone yawn.

"But-"

"Don't worry, we'll free him before having your sister participate.I'll save him no matter what." she cut him off, mumbling the last part to herself, and they all agreed.

"Are you sure? I can help you keep watch."

"I'm sure, Yūta-niichan. You should have some rest too. Tomorrow, we'll free him." she refused his offer and he nodded. Then, all the brats decided to sleep except for her while I'm observing her even if my vessel's asleep. She sighed and created a curtain.

"That which frightens more than darkness itself... That which is darker than black... Purify this defilement." she chanted, creating a curtain while sitting on the floor.

"Leo," she called as she snapped her fingers. A constellation pattern of Leo appeared, forming a man with orange hair wearing eyeglasses and a suit, bowing to her.

"You've called, Princess?" who is he? But most importantly, who and what is she?

"Kindly secure the perimeter. Make sure no one can come close to the curtain. Inform me immediately if someone comes close, okay?"

"As you wish, Princess." the man responded and disappeared. She sighed and rested her arms behind her to support her torso.

"You can ask questions, you know? Want me to help you switch whileYuuji'sasleep?" she asked without bothering to look. I clicked my tongue and swapped with the brat. It's easier if he's asleep and also because of the number of my fingers he already consumed.

"I don't need your help." I scoffed but she just chuckled at me.

"What's so funny?" I asked, irritated.

"Nothing..." she answered while shaking her head, smiling. Seeing her smile, my mind flashed a memory ofhersmiling back then. Why the hell does she remind me ofher? Sighing, she put up her sunglasses on top of her hair, revealing her navy blue eyes and the tiny caduceus symbol below her left eye. Pretty... she turned her attention to me and smiled sadly.

"It's just that...I missed this. I'll miss this." Again, my mind showed me a memory ofher, smiling sadly like this. Fuck it! I pinned her down, shock written all over her features as I hover above her figure.

"Stop fucking playing with me, your act's disgusting. Who are you? Where did you even learn to act like her?" I growled, mad at how she reminded me of a certain person.

"I remind you of who? Are you okay?" she asks, concerned. She isn't even concerned for herself. Is she stupid?

"Why are you asking me that? I'm the King of Curses. Aren't you afraid? I can kill you in a second." I threatened but her look softened.

"I'm afraid, Sukuna. But I also trust you and I know you wouldn't hurt me," she says while her hand reaches up to touch me.

I flinched as her hand touched my cheek. However, as if on instinct, I unconsciously leaned my face in her hand. She smiled comfortingly, making me close my eyes and lean more into her touch. Then, a memory ofhertouching me the same way flashed in my mind, making me inhale sharply and open my eyes. I pushed my body off of her and sat on her side while she sits up properly.

"You remind me of someone important to me..." I started, as she hums in response, letting me know she was listening. "You're not going to ask why I have someone important to me?" I asked, wondering. Because, if it's any other person, I'm sure they won't believe it. I didn't believe it myself at first either.

"Why should I? Everyone has at least someone important to them. Even if it's their selves." she shrugged, looking directly into my eyes.

"Well, since you're all gonna die anyway, I'll answer your question..." I started, sighing, looking straight ahead, staring at nothing in particular.

"Mari... You remind me of Mari." I said, remembering memories of us together. Even my final moments with her.

I was met with silence. I was waiting for a few more moments but she was really quiet. Aish, she probably won't believe me. It doesn't matter anyway. "You think this is a joke right?" I asked as I turned to look at her, only to see her crying. What theactualfuck?I was taken aback, unsure of why she was crying. Instinctively, I wiped away her tears and we were both surprised at my action. I retrieved my hand while she wiped the remaining tears.

"I-uh... I-uhm... I-" she stuttered, trying to form a sentence, trembling, tears falling from her navy blue eyes.

Before I realized what I'm doing, I already grabbed her, hugging her completely, stroking her back comfortingly while whispering comforting words to her. What the heck are you doing, Sukuna? After a few minutes, her sobbing decreased and she calmed down. She released herself from the hug and looked up at me. A memory of Mari flashed in my mind which made me turn away and look down. Fuck- Am I actually starting to hallucinate?

"I'm sorry if I suddenly cried like that. I-" she was cut off when the man earlier returned, calling her attention.

"Princess, forgive my disturbance but someone's near. Should I take care of it?" he asked, gaining both of our attention.

"Uh, no. I'll come with you to check," she responded, standing up and dusting off her clothes. She turned around, looking back at me, smiling but it doesn't reach her eyes.

"Thank you and I'm sorry about this," she says as her two fingers close in on my forehead. She lightly tapped my forehead then I suddenly feel dizziness, making me sleepy, and forcing me to switch back with my vessel. The last thing I saw was her sad smile and her retreating figure before I was forced back, my vision turning black.

Mari... Where are you?

Summary:

Satori's group meets Hana Kurusu and planned to release Satoru.

Notes:

Hi! I'm back with a new chapter! Though I do say that I'll update this every Wednesday, the publication date does not allow me to even if I am, indeed, posting it on July 6 in my residence. Hence, the update might be dated as July 5 instead. It's definitely because of the time zone so I'll just adjust it later. Anyway, still, I'm going ahead with the plan to update this weekly so I hope you'll continue to stay interested and support this story. Thank you! Ah, and also, all chapters aren't proofread so there might be a lot of grammatical errors ahead.

Chapter Text

Satori's POV

Leo came back, with a report that someone was near. I left with him to check and we're currently on the way there, my mind still somewhat occupied with Sukuna's words. "Princess, we're here," Leo informed me as we came to a halt. He pointed to where the person is as my sight traced the direction he was pointing at. There, I found a person, who looks like an angel. Is she, Hana Kurusu?

"Leo, scout the area and report to me if there's another one coming close to the curtain. I'll go talk to her.Return to me if I dispelled the curtain or I called for you, okay?" I ordered, my gaze not leaving her.

"Understood. As you wish, Princess." he obliged and left. I unsealed my large white wings, with their feathers having gold highlights, and flew towards her. I landed in front of her as she stances, preparing to fight.

"Greetings, I'm not here to fight with you. But are you perhaps the angel? Hana Kurusu?" I asked, walking a bit closer to her, with my hands up, showing surrender.

"I am. Who are you? What do you want? Are you human?" she interrogated, still cautious but her stance relaxed.

"I go by many names but for now, you can call me Sakura. I am indeed a human. I just have another form of mine. Can I talk to you inside the curtain? I'd like to introduce you to some people." I replied politely.

"Sakura, huh? Did you create that curtain? Are you a special grade sorcerer?" she questions, raising an eyebrow at me.

"My answer's yes to both questions of yours..."Although I'm one of the exiled special grade sorcerers..."If you're worried that this is a trap, it's not. It's just that, some acquaintances of mine wanted to meet you and ask something. I can enter a binding vow with you if you want?" I offered but she shook her head.

"No need. I'll extinguish your cursed technique if it's a trap. And besides, I'm pretty good at reading people." She muttered the last part, intending to not make me hear but I still heard it nonetheless. "Sure. Follow me, this way." I replied, pointing in the direction where I came from, leading the way as I dispersed my wings. She's skeptical about me but still follows me nonetheless.

"I heard that your cursed technique can extinguish cursed techniques. Are there no exceptions to it?" I asked, attempting to make small talk and get to know her cursed technique.

"None. How about you? What's your cursed technique?" she questions, keeping a safe distance from me.

"Imitation. It has some rules though but I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter to you since you can extinguish my cursed technique at any given moment." I answered, telling the same 'cursed technique' I told the others.

"If we asked you for a favor, what will be the exchange for it?" I asked after she hummed in response to my answer, inquiring. Depending on what the cost might be, I'll do it myself if it'll endanger Yūta and the others.

"I'm an angel. I don't ask for payments. But depending on the request, I'll refuse if it'll cost me my life." she responded.

"Oh, you don't have to worry about that. We won't ask for something that'll cost your life. We just need your help with something."

"And that is?"

"You'll know soon. We're near." I said, seeing the curtain closer. We arrived and entered the curtain. Only the ones I allow can enter and leave the veil I created. She froze, sensing Sukuna in Yuuji, and turned to look at me.

"Sukuna..! Don't tell me-" I cut her off before she makes a fuss.

"No. I mean, yes, it's Sukuna's vessel but the vessel has control over his body. The favor we'll ask is not related to him. So, don't worry, you don't have to deal with Sukuna." I stated as she nodded in understanding.

"Let's just wait for them to wake up, then we'll discuss the favor we're about to ask you. But before that, want something to eat?" I asked, looking for food from the nearby aisles. We're inside a mall that I enveloped in a veil.

*****

She ate some ramen after seeing me eat first. After eating, Yūta-niichan and the others start waking up consecutively. As they woke up, all of them suddenly turned to us in a fighting stance, sensing Kurusu's cursed energy.

"Oh, good morning, I guess. Want some breakfast? I can prepare more if you want." I said, noticing that they were all awake. Megumi's keeping Tsumiki behind him. It's her...I accidentally heard Megumi's thoughts. So they met before?

"Sat-" Yūta-niichan started but was cut off by Yuuji, making me flinch internally. That was close!"Sakura-chan, who's she?" Yuuji asked, the others waiting for my response as well.

"Oh, her? She looks like an angel, right? She's the one we're supposed to look for. Her name's Hana Kurusu. The one who's a cursed technique can extinguish cursed techniques." I introduced Kurusu as she gave them an acknowledging nod.

"Eh?" Yūta was the first to react while the others blinked, trying to process what I said.

"Ehhhh?!?!?!" most of them reacted while Megumi just sighed in relief.

*****

After explaining that I found her near the curtain, Kurusu formally introduced herself as the others eat breakfast. And now, the only thing we need is Satoru's Prison Realm. I introduced them to Kurusu as we rest after finishing our meals. Then, we proceeded to talk about our plan, with Yūta-niichan explaining to Kurusu what our favor is.

"So, all we ask is for you to use your cursed technique on the back of Prison Realm to release MasterGojo. You don't have to worry about your safety, we'll protect you and promises to keep you alive." Yūta-niichan stated. Kurusu thought for a moment.

"Fine. I'll do it as long as that's the only thing I have to do. I want Sakura to guard me while we're doing it." Kurusu said, agreeing to our request. "Okay, I'll do it." I agreed to her request. Why me though? I thought to myself but dismissed it right after it popped up in my mind.

"Hey, just a quick question. We can access the back of Prison Realm, right? Can't we just release Sensei from here using that?" Yuuji asked, gaining everyone's attention.

"We shouldn't. If he's released without the Prison Realm with us, they'll make another plan of sealing him back there. No matter how long it takes. I'm sure of it." I answered.

"Sakura-chan's right. We should secure the Prison Realm first, to make sure none of us will be sealed there, especially Gojō-sensei." Maki added.

"What's the plan then?" Kinji asked.

"We need to locate where they are and steal back Prison Realm," Megumi answered.

"How are we going to do that?" Panda asks.

"I think I have a plan." I started, gaining their attention.

*****

We managed to locate them, thanks to my stellar abilities. Leo and the other star zodiacs helped locate them. We're now nearby and I managed to create a huge veil, trapping them inside their base without them realizing it. Sensing Kenjaku's cursed energy, I shivered. His cursed energy sure is creepy. Then, I realized that there was another one with him. Who's cursed energy is familiar. Uraume? No, wait, it doesn't matter, we have to act fast and release Satoru.

I glanced at their positions, my gaze staying a millisecond longer on Kenjaku's current vessel, Geto Suguru, who happened to be Satoru's best friend. So that's what his friend looks like... Shaking my head, I refocused andnodded at Megumi, splitting us into two teams. I went East with Kurusu and Kinji while the others went West. Megumi and I created a domain, similar to Megumi's. Both Kenjaku and Uraume were alarmed, Uraume freezing the floor full of shadows. Yūta-niichan ambushed Kenjaku while Maki attacks Uraume. Yuuji, Kinji, and Panda join the fight.

Yuuji and Megumi fight the summoned curses while Yūta-niichan and Kinji teamed up to fight Kenjaku, and Maki and Panda teamed up to fight Uraume, exchanging blows with them. Megumi's protecting Tsumiki while acting as a support. Meanwhile, I and Kurusu's waiting for Yūta-niichan to push back Kenjaku towards us.

Once he was near, Megumi and I used our domain to summon Shikigamis, mainly trying to distract them and help Yuuji exorcise the curses summoned by Kenjaku's cursed technique. Meanwhile, I used magic in trying to steal Satoru's Prison Realm, making my arm pass through a magic portal that connects to where the Prison Realm is. I grabbed the Prison Realm and started retreating my arm. However, before I completely retrieved my left arm, it was grabbed and cut off by Kenjaku.

"I don't know what trick you're using but, you should've expected that you can't steal it from me that easily." Kenjaku snickered, looking in my direction, as he took back the Prison Realm, throwing off my arm. The portal was closed while my cut-off arm started bleeding, making me kneel as I hissed because of the sudden pain and blood loss.

"Sakura-chan!" Yūta-niichan yelled, gaining everyone's attention. Uraume uses that as an opportunity to back away from Maki and used her cursed technique to freeze them all into place except Kenjaku.

"Megumi! Follow my lead!" I shouted, using the shadow to cover Uraume's ice, freeing them using the shadow. "Everyone, continue to fight! Don't worry about me. We'll release Gojō Satoru here and now!" I exclaimed and I saw them all smirk at my words.

"Damn right, we will." Maki seconded, closing in on Uraume again, resuming their fight.

"Kenjaku!" I called out, gaining his attention while still fighting with Yūta and Kinji. "Of course, I already expected it wasn't that easy. However, I've already completed my goal." I stated then snapped my fingers and opened up my hands, Satoru's Prison Realm appearing on top of it, as I smiled mockingly.I just needed to touch it to summon it after all.

"How-" he was cut off by Yūta-niichan's sudden swing of the sword. Uraume tries to get away from Maki and Panda, to Yuuji, but I used the shadows to hold onto her feet.

"Not so fast," I commented, swinging my left arm, completely healing myself. Then, I moved my left arm and hand to adjust my blood flow.

"Screen." I chanted, snapping my fingers to form a translucent gold barrier, protecting myself and Kurusu from any attacks.

"Kurusu, release him now," I demanded, giving her the Prison Realm and she accepted. "As you wish. You owe me one for this," she responded, starting to open it using her cursed technique. Kenjaku and Uraume tried getting away from their fights to interfere and retrieve the Prison Realm but Satoru's former and current students made it impossible. The back of the Prison Realm was forced open, completely releasing Satoru out of it.

"Yo!" he greeted as soon as he was released, standing tall.

"Sensei!" his students exclaimed except for Megumi who just smiled. I smiled as my tears welled up at the sight of my twin brother out of the Prison Realm. He's finally back.

To be continued...

Notes:

A/N: Satoru's finally out! Although I feel like I made this too short and immediately released him, hehe. However, I originally planned for this story to just quickly go through the culling's game arc and focus on the events, that I thought of, afterward. Also, I had this chapter in my notes since June last year, so I really didn't plan to mention all the manga's current events. Sooo the main story will actually start in a few or so chapters. Anyway, let me know if you like the story so far by leaving kudos and sharing your thoughts thru comments. I hope y'all are enjoying this as much as I did when I read the draft before. Keep safe everyone! Happy reading~

Chapter 17: The Strongest Sorcerer

Summary:

Gojō Satoru was finally freed from the prison realm.

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

Satoru's POV

All of a sudden the seemingly endless white became filled with colors, making my eyes squint at the abrupt change of surroundings. The first thing I saw when my vision cleared was Okkotsu's relieved face. "Yo!" I greeted as soon as I was freed from the Prison Realm.

"Sensei!" most of my students exclaimed, Inumaki and Nobara missing. Looking around, they're actually in the middle of fighting but probably stopped when I was being released. Two women near me. The other one has a halo and wings, making her look like an angel, while the other seems familiar, and is she...crying? My thoughts were cut off when Suguru's body spoke.

"This cannot be! I shall seal the strongest sorcerer!" he exclaimed, activating the Prison Realm again.

However, the familiar woman pushed me aside, making me sit on the ground while she was kneeling in front of me, the Prison Realm holding her in place. Seeing her face closer, I realized her navy blue orbs are now heterochromatic, her left eye remained navy blue while the right orb is now a vibrant light blue, the same as mine.

"What?! Release her and seal the strongest sorcerer!" the sorcerer in Suguru's body commanded, deactivating then reactivating the Prison Realm. I prepared for it to hold me this time, however, it only released her and then hold on to her again.

"What's the meaning of this?!" he yelled, all of us confused. He kept on retrying to seal the 'strongest sorcerer' but it keeps on capturing her as well. Confused, I observed her face.

Her facial features are the feminine version of mine, while her mermaid pastel hair's draining its color, turning it into white. Her heterochromatic eyes, now both vibrant light blue orbs. Finally feeling her cursed energy, I realized who she is.No way! She's alive?!I blinked and rubbed my eyes, pinched my cheek, checking if this was reality. Meanwhile, I caught a glimpse of everyone shivering at the feeling of her cursed energy.

"Don't hurt yourself, Satoru." she sighed and smiled at me. My tears welled up, seeing her alive in front of me.

"I missed you!" I sobbed, hugging her.

"This is getting out of hand but I'll seal you instead since you're stronger than Gojō Satoru." I heard Suguru's voice say but before I could turn my head to face him, she held my face in place.

"I love you," she whispered, then pushed me away as the Prison Realm trapped her in. I was frozen in place, my mind going blank, unable to process what just happened, as my tears streamed down my face.

*****
Time skip to after dealing with the Culling Game
*****

Two weeks passed by quickly. I settled everything on the very same day I was released, oddly with the help of Sukuna and the mastermind of Culling Game, Kenjaku. Then, for the rest of the weeks, we were taking care of restorations. I just came back from a meeting with the higher-ups. I found out that they exiled me when I was sealed but they lifted the exile because of my sister. She made a deal with them of proving my innocence, in which, she succeeded. Speaking of her, she was still sealed inside the Prison Realm and it's currently with me.

Hana Kurusu, the one who looks like an angel, tried releasing her but she can't force it open. She said that something different than cursed energy is blocking it. Sukuna, I'm not sure why but he helped me regain my composure and also ordered Kenjaku, the one who's inhabiting Suguru's body, to release her but Kenjaku couldn't. He said the same thing as Hana Kurusu, that something else is protecting the Prison Realm.

Sighing, I entered my dorm and locked the door. I just found out that Nanami's dead, Inumaki's arm was cut off, and Nobara's still unconscious since the Shibuya Incident. A lot happened and I couldn't even protect the people who were important to me. My twin sister was even sealed in front of me. Strongest sorcerer, my ass. I can't protect the sole person I love.

Sighing again, I went to the kitchen to get some water. It's my first time coming home after a month since the Shibuya Incident, will the water be bad? Whatever, I'll just drink from the unopened bottled water. I opened the fridge, taking out one bottle of sealed mineral water. I closed it and then proceeded to drink in front of the refrigerator, staring at nothing in particular, until a note caught my attention.

'Hey, Satoru!

It's me, Satori. I'm staying at your dorm for a while. I ate some ramen and other food from your food supplies. Sorry, not sorry. I'm just letting you know teehee~

Love,

Satori (๑> ₃•๑)╭♡'

As I read the note, I feel myself smiling, my vision becoming blurry. I read another note, her letting me know that she customized some of my clothes. I cried, losing my composure at my sister's notes for me.

If it was a normal day back then, I'm sure I would've complained to her about it, especially because all of my stuff is expensive. But now, all I feel is more longing for her. When I finally calmed down, I went to my bedroom and sat on the bed, deep in thought. I asked Yūta about Satori-neechan but he told me to wait and ask her personally.

He believes that she'll come back and be released. I have faith in my sister but I can't help it. I know what it's like to be sealed and even I can't escape from it. I'll trust them both. After all, Yūta spent time with her so he probably knows something that she wasn't able to tell me yet. Sighing, I looked at her picture, smiling sadly.

I grabbed it, my hand touching the glass. Then, I noticed a bulge in the photo. Confused, I turned it over and opened the back of the picture frame, finding a neatly folded piece of paper. I took it out and laid down the picture frame on my bed, beside me. I opened it and saw words written on the paper. Frowning, I started reading the letter.

'To: Gojō Satoru (a.k.a. my handsome twin)
From: Gojō Satori (◕‿◕✿)

Hey, Satoru!

If you're reading this, you shouldn't. Please don't. Seriously, don't and you should stop reading. Just kidding, I just don't know how to start this. So, uh, if you're really reading this, it means that you're finally back and safe. I'm relieved that you're finally released but if you're seeing this, it also means that I'm not with you.

I know you have a lot of questions and I want to answer them all so, I'm really sorry for not being there with you right now. I found out about your best friend, Getō Suguru , and I'm happy to know that you had him but I'm also sorry about what happened to him.

I'm sorry that I couldn't be there with you throughout your hardships. I'm sorry for missing out on the most important events in your life, despite me being your twin. I know I'm the most horrible sister ever but thank you for being one of the best things that ever happened to me. Being born as your twin sister is the best thing that happened to me, even though it's probably the opposite for you. I'm sorry about that.

Aish , I really don't know what to write here for you. Probably because, deep down inside me, I'm hoping to finally be with you after dealing with the incident. However, I know that it won't be that easy, that's why I'm writing this letter, just in case, hoping that I'll at least succeed in saving you. Well, technically it won't be a hope since I'll do everything to make it a reality.

And uhm, you know that I love you, right? I may not be the sister that you'll pray for you to have, but I love you so much, Satoru. And I hope I was able to make you feel that during the times we're together. I miss you!

Anyway, uh, I'm kinda hoping that you'll find this on our birthday instead-but knowing you, I'm sure you'll be able to find this sooner. Still, I want to greet you here so,... Happy 29th Birthday, my Satoru!🎂🎉 I love you! My wish for you is, for you to be happy and stay safe. I'm hoping to spend time with you on our birthday but it's unlikely to happen if you're reading this so, instead, I hope you'll still celebrate and enjoy for the both of us.

Again, advanced happy birthday! I'll always be watching over you so, I hope you won't feel lonely. Oh, and lastly, I just want to let you know that, you're my home. And I promise to come back to you, no matter what . So, wait for me?

Happy Birthday!

Love lots,
Satori (ʃƪ˘ ³˘)♡'

I can feel my lips trembling as I finished reading her letter, with tears streaming down my face because of a mixture of emotions. Tired of hiding it from everyone, I let my tears fall as I folded back the letter and placed it back in the picture frame.

"I'm home..." I said, looking at her photo as I clutched onto the picture frame tighter, bringing out her Prison Realm, hugging both as I lay myself down, one arm covering my eyes as I cried myself to sleep.

I'll be waiting for you, Satori- neechan .

Chapter Text

Sukuna's POV

Two weeks passed already but it still feels like yesterday. Since then, all I think about is her and what happened. I didn't expect that outcome. Ah, fuck.

"Hey, Sukuna?" the brat called out. He's in his dorm room, laying down on his bed while as usual, I'm sitting on my throne.

"What?" I questioned, using the mouth that I materialized on his cheek below the lower eye.

"Why did you help Sensei back then?" He asked, referring to what happened two weeks ago. My mind automatically replayed what happened.

*****

Flashback to two weeks ago...

The damn sorcerer's free, thanks to Hana Kurusu. He was about to be captured by Prison Realm again, however, the woman pushed him, saving him. Confused, I observed the woman, then saw her eyes become heterochromatic. Her hair started draining its color, becoming white with gold highlights. Her heterochromatic eyes turned into a pair of bright blue orbs. Lastly, her cursed energy's presence being exposed, made me widen my eyes in the realization of how familiar it was. Don't tell me- my thoughts were cut off when a figure showed up in my innate domain.

I blinked in surprise, dumbfounded at the sight before me. I gulped down, slowly descending my makeshift throne. Is this for real? " Mari..? " I called, trying to confirm if it was really her.

" Sukuna... " she called out, smiling softly. I pulled her into a hug, not being able to control my feelings anymore. She hugged me back as my vision started to blur. " Sukuna... " she called out again, pulling back, creating a small distance between us while my arms are still wrapped around her waist.

Her hands reached up to cup my face as I leaned into her touch. Damn, I miss her so much. I sighed in contentment, holding her hand against my cheek. " Sukuna, I don't have much time. Please listen to me, " she says in a hurry.

" What do you mean? " I asked, confused, my grip on her tightening a bit.

" Listen, whatever happens, please keep Gojō Satoru alive. " she requested, making me frown.

" Huh? Why? "

" I don't have a lot of time to explain but- "

End of Flashback

*****

"Sukuna?Sukunaaa? Hey, Sukuna!" myflashback was cut off by the brat himself, who keeps on calling out to me.

"What do you want?" I hissed.

"You still there?" he asked.

"Of course, I'm still here, dumbass. You're my vessel so naturally, I'm here. Idiot."

"Sheesh, what's with the sass? I just ask 'coz you became quiet and seems to be deep in thought about my question."

"None of your business, brat." he sighed in response and decided to sleep. Sighing, I closed my eyes, wanting to take a nap as well.

*****

" I don't have time to explain but please promise me. " she requested, looking desperate.

" Why should I? " I questioned, feeling irritated. We just reunited and that's what she's worried about?

" Sukuna...please... " she said, then her body started disintegrating.

" Oi, what's happening?! " I asked, panicking about the fact that she was disintegrating in front of me.

" I'm out of time, " she replied. I frowned, confused at what was happening to her.

" This is not funny, Mari. Stay with me. " she smiled at me but it didn't reach her eyes.

" Thank you for last night. " was the last thing she said before completely disintegrating.

I stood frozen in place, dumbfounded. My vessel turned to look at the woman last night, seeing her appearance made me stumble a bit. As the realization hit me, she looked in my direction and smiled softly then, the Prison Realm pulled her in, completely sealing her. No way... I- I finally found you... Why are you leaving?

Memories of last night flooded my mind, making it clear to me that they are the same person. It was her all along... That Sakura woman was Mari all along... And yet... She was sealed in front of me.

What have I done?

*****

I woke up, panting, breathing heavily because of my dream. Damn, I dreamed about what happened two weeks ago. I calmed myself down, inhaling deeply.

I don't know what her reason is but I fulfilled her request and helped that damn sorcerer snap out of his trance. Whatever their relationship is, I'll find out once I get her out of there. But...how? Aish, fuck it. I'll do whatever it takes to get her out of there. The damn sorcerer and I came into a compromise because of what happened to her.

Currently, I'm waiting for Uraume and Kenjaku to find a solution to release her. Meanwhile, those sorcerers asked Hana Kurusu to help them find a way to release her as well. The other brat, who arrived with her here in Japan, went back overseas to continue looking for cursed tools that can extinguish cursed techniques, thinking that it might help release her.

A bit stupid actually, since they already witnessed that someone, who's capable of what those cursed tools can do, can't even force her release, and he even tried doing it himself. Even the authority of the front bearer can't get her out of it. But, I didn't complain because, we can't overlook any possibility, no matter how slim the chance of it succeeding. As long as I can get her out of the Prison Realm, I don't care who I have to work with. Even if it means that I have to work with those shitty sorcerers, I'll do it for her.

*****

The next day, the damn sorcerer seemed a bit more lively compared to yesterday. What the fuck happened to him? Whatever, it's not my concern.

I've thought of all the time I spent together with Mari, thinking that there may be some clue to release her from Prison Realm. Cursed energy aside, we don't know what else she has. The damn sorcerer also didn't know anything about her other abilities. The other brat, who arrived with her, seems to know something but doesn't want to spill it.

Hmm...oh, right. She also has those stellar abilities or whatever that is. After all, she summoned those zodiacs. Does that have something to do with her sealing? Think, Sukuna, think. Did she mention anything? After a few moments of thinking, I can't come up with anything. This is giving me a headache.

Where was she all this time anyway? I thought she was dead because she's human and that I met her a thousand years ago. Wait a minute, I remember her saying before that she was half-human, half-vessel. If it's like that, considering those stupid sorcerers' policy, they'll seal her rather than execute her.

If that's the case, then...she could survive a thousand years as a human inside the Prison Realm... Then, seeing her free, before Kenjaku sealed her, proves that she can be released. Taking account of her statement and the interaction between her and Hana Kurusu, it's safe to say that they just met after she made me sleep. The brat, that introduced her, is currently overseas to continue looking for cursed tools which means they didn't use cursed tools to release her.

If my train of thought's on the right track, neither the cursed tools nor Hana Kurusu released her from Prison Realm. Witnessing that the front bearer's authority couldn't release her as well, we can assume that something else released her. So, the main question is, what released her? If it's not a tool or a person then, did something trigger it? Is that even possible?

Wait, I can't actually rule out that possibility, since she, summoning a stellar zodiac, was supposed to be impossible if she's using cursed energy. Then, what triggered it? When was she released anyway? It can't be when the damn sorcerer and this vessel of mine went to visit some cliff that had faint traces of her cursed energy.

It was probably after that. I've been visiting that place every night to feel her cursed energy after they visited that cliff. I just stopped when the Shibuya Incident started. Shibuya... Incident... Wait, shit! I felt a faint trace of her cursed energy and presence during my takeover to save that shadow user! Did anything significant happen when I felt it?

If I remember correctly, that's when Kenjaku successfully caught the damn sorcerer using the Prison Realm. Then, is that damn sorcerer the trigger for her to be released? Should we try sealing him again? But we don't have any other Prison Realm. Plus, based on what happened, if we were to seal that damn sorcerer again, she might be released but will definitely rescue him and take his place. Tch. What's her relation to him anyway?

Hold up, the damn sorcerer wasn't completely sealed yet when I felt her cursed energy and presence back then. It's just that, he was caught but still outside. Then, the possible trigger is if the damn sorcerer's in danger! It makes sense. Yeah, it has to be it! It's worth a shot as long as she'll be released!

I'll just wait for the others' reports tomorrow then. If they didn't come up with anything, my theory might just work instead. For now, I won't care whatever's between her and that damn sorcerer if he's the key.

Wait for me, Mari...just a bit longer.

Chapter 19: The Meeting

Summary:

Gojō Satoru meets up with a certain group of people to hear their report.

Chapter Text

Satoru's POV

I woke up to my alarm, ringing loudly. I turned it off and glanced at the date. Today's December 6, huh? Okkotsu and Kurusu will be back today to report. I wonder if they found something. Sighing, I stood up and went ahead to start my morning routines. After some time, I'm now dressed up, preparing to leave my dorm room to visit Nobara, with Yuuji and Megumi then, we'll fetch Yūta at the airport.

"I'm leaving, nee-chan," I said, smiling softly at her picture. I left the dorm and walked towards Yuuji and Megumi's.

*****

We're now back in my basement. I'm with Yūta, Megumi, Yuuji, Hana Kurusu, Uraume, and Kenjaku, who's still inhabiting Suguru's body. Tch. If it wasn't for our goal to release my sister I would've exorcised them already. Well, whatever their plan is about releasing my sister, once she's released, the truce will be off and I can exorcise them afterward.

"Now then, shall we start this meeting?" I started to relieve the silence and everyone nodded. "Start with your reports." I continued and Yūta decided to start.

"I'll go first. Miguel and I couldn't find any Black Ropeand Inverted Spear of Heaven. Aside from those two, no other cursed tool can cancel cursed techniques. That's all for my side." Yūta reported.

"As for me, I researched my cursed technique and there shouldn't be any exception unless I ran out of cursed energy." Hana Kurusu shared.

"And us, we did some research about the Prison Realm. It can only be opened with the front bearer's authority or forcing open its back gate by canceling the cursed technique." Kenjaku reported.

"In such a very rare case, there are times that none of the two options can release the sealed person inside if something else aside from cursed energy is involved. If that happens, a condition has to be met or a certain event will trigger the release." Uraume added.

"I see..."

"Uhm, ano...Sensei?" Yūta called out.

"What is it?" I asked, signaling him to continue.

"I think we should find out the condition/s or the trigger for her release this time."

"Why did you say so?"

"Uhm, I don't want to tell this without her permission but something else aside from cursed energy is involved. She was released before because of a condition she set before she was sealed. But I don't think she managed to set any specific conditions during the fight at all, so it may be something minimal or just the same as before." Yūta answered.

"Then, we should look for a trigger to release her rather than thinking of a possible condition she set, right?" says Megumi.

"As I've thought. Well then, I had an idea, fools." Sukuna butted in as he grew a mouth below his lower left eye.

"What is it?" I asked, cocking my head to the side as I raised an eyebrow at him.

"I'll tell you if you let me switch with this brat." he offered.

"No way!" Yuuji refused.

"Shut up, I'm not talking to you," Sukuna argued.

"There's no way that Gojō-sensei will agree, right, Gojō-sensei?" says Yuuji, as he turned his attention to me.

Hmm, I think Sukuna has an idea however, Kenjaku and Uraume, his allies, are with us. They might be planning something but seeing the both of them confused, I doubt that they'll be up to no good. Plus, Yūta and Megumi are with me. I can take care of them myself but having Yūta and Megumi here makes us have an equal number of people. Also, Yuuji can switch back immediately since he won't be abusing the switch. And lastly, Maki and Panda's upstairs.

Alright, I've made up my mind. I'll take a risk, as long as there's a chance to release my sister. If they're up to no good, I'll focus on exorcising Kenjaku and Uraume while Yūta and Megumi will take on Sukuna.

"Sensei?" Yuuji called out, making me snap out of my thoughts. I saw Sukuna smirking, probably already knowing that I'll let them switch.

"Fine. I'll let you switch then."

"But Sensei-" "Sensei-"

"It's fine Megumi and Yuuji, we can handle them if anything happens. I'll do anything to release her." I said, cutting off Yuuji and Megumi.

"But-"

"That's great, sorcerer. You're getting desperate." Sukuna commented.

"Aren't you the same, Sukuna?" I snickered, making him scoff. I'm still not quite sure why, but Sukuna wants my sister free too, which makes us allies for now.

"Sensei, are you sure about this?" Yuuji asked.

"Yes, Yuuji. Come back to us if he hurts someone or if he leaves this room, okay?" I replied, telling him the conditions he'll have to form a contract with Sukuna.

"Got it, Sensei. But are you sure?"

"Yes, Yuuji." I seriously answered. I'll do anything to release my sister.

"Understood," Yuuji replied and swapped with Sukuna.

"This is nice, you're really letting me take control. Aren't you worried that I'll kill y'all here?" Sukuna smirked, staring directly at me. Even if I had my blindfold on, I still stared back at him, knowing that he knows I'm doing it.

"You wouldn't," I said after chuckling at his empty threat.

"Oh? How sure are you?"

"100% sure that you wouldn't. Not until she's released, that is." I retorted. He chuckled and appeared right in front of me, trying to strangle me, his force pushing me until my back hits the wall, but Infinity slowed him down.

"Sensei!" My students exclaimed, standing. Hana Kurusu, Uraume, and Kenjaku stood up as well.

"Try moving an inch and I'll chop his head off." Sukuna threatens as I signaled Yūta and Megumi to not move. I'm not afraid actually, since he can't kill me with what he's doing but I wanna know what he's planning. His threat feels like another empty threat.

"That's good, stupid sorcerers. Just stay there while I kill him." He said, letting go of my neck as he puts his fists together with his middle and ring finger up, points connected. "Domain Expansion: Malevolent Shrine." He chanted, activating his domain, trapping the both of us inside. I glanced around to see what his domain looks like as a whole. There's just water and a shrine behind him.

"Time to die, stupid sorcerer. Dismantle," he stated as he sends an attack.

Oddly enough, there's no malice in his attack. I don't sense any danger to it. Nonetheless, I still prepared to counter, preparing myself to lay out my domain that'll be more refined than his, controlling to have a higher cursed energy output than his. However, just before his attack hits me in a split second, he deactivated the attack along with his domain. Is this... related to his idea?

"Tch. It didn't work. You can have him back." says Sukuna, as he started going back to his seat, after deactivating his domain.

"Sensei!" Yūta and Megumi exclaimed.

"Sukuna! What was that?!" Yuuji questions once he switches back.

"Shut your mouth, brat. I tried to achieve our goal here, but it didn't work." Sukuna replied, sprouting a mouth on Yuuji's cheek.

"What do you mean?" Yuuji asked.

"It means, he thought that attacking Gojō-sensei is a possible trigger," Megumi answered, after connecting the dots.

"Correct. After giving it some thought and connecting the dots, I've concluded that having him in danger will trigger her release." Sukuna added.

"How did you arrive at that conclusion?" Hana Kurusu asked.

"Simply because, that's what previously released her, am I right, creepy brat?" says Sukuna, looking at Yūta, making us all look at him. I can't say much on the matter because I don't know everything about my sister's abilities.

"Yeah." Yūta sighed.

"As expected of my Master." Uraume praises Sukuna as Kenjaku nodded in agreement.

"Care to explain further, Yūta-kun?" I asked, wanting to know about it.

"Uh, I'm not sure Sensei... I don't want to tell things without her permission. All I can confirm is that she was indeed released when you were in danger. I hope you understand." Yūta answered, lowering his head a little.

"But clearly, this time, it didn't work. So, just as he said, she probably didn't have enough time to prepare a condition that'll trigger her release." Sukuna added.

"No, it's worth a shot. It probably didn't work because I didn't sense that I'm in danger." I spoke up.

"Then-" Yuuji was cut off by Megumi.

"We can't. And I don't think Gojō-sensei ever felt that he's in danger." Megumi said.

"I wanna say that it's not true but I'll be lying if I said that. So, thanks for the compliment Megumi." I responded, smiling playfully.

"I don't think so, Sensei. You once felt that you were in danger. Otherwise, she wouldn't be released." Yūta opposed. I frowned, thinking about what he said.

"Oh, I think you're right. I only felt that I was in danger twice. But the recent one is when the Prison Realm caught me."

"Yes." Yūta agreed.

"Then, why don't we find another Prison Realm and have him caught in it?" Kenjaku proposed.

"No. If we did that, I know that she'll only end up being sealed again." Sukuna refused, a hint of anger and restraint hidden in his voice.

I wonder what's his relation to my sister. Whatever the case, as long as he'll help release her, I won't question him just yet. After all, once she's released, I'll protect her properly this time. Just wait for me, Satori. I'll definitely get you out.

Chapter Text

Gojō Satoru's POV

We all went back to our respective places, deciding to take a rest for tomorrow and continue searching for a way to release her the day after. I took off my coat, grabbed several cans of beer, and went straight to my room. I opened one can and drank it all in one go. It's bitter but oddly satisfying. Sighing, I opened another one and started drinking. After five more cans, I finally let my negative thoughts occupy me.

Damn. Is having me in danger our only clue for her to be released? Does that mean, she doesn't intend to live with me? Does that make her only goal is, to ensure my safety, so that I can ensure humanity's safety in return? Fuck. Why? Is that why she's always away? Is that why she's always given missions just so I can focus on becoming the strongest? Is that why...she left me alone? Is that why she had to fake her death? Why?

You were all I have... I was always eager for you to return and finally give me your attention. I always do my best in training so I can make you proud the next time you come home. I aimed to become the strongest for the sole purpose of protecting you. But the truth is, you're only ensuring my safety before leaving me again... Why? Why, Nee-chan? Why?! Is humanity that important to you? Is everyone's safety more important to you than your only family? Are other people more important to you than me? Are they that important to you, for you to leave me behind?

Why? What about me? Am I not important to you? Am I just someone who's supposed to be your guarantor of everyone's safety? Why do you have to leave me all alone? Have you ever thought of me? Damn it. Sukuna knows you and he seems to have spent a lot of time with you. Yūta was even able to spend time with you too, but...what about me? I can't believe that I'm saying this, but, I'm fucking jealous of them. I wish I was them. I wish I can also spend time with you. I wish I'll also be able to be with you.

But how can it be, when the only way to release you is for me to be in grave danger? Why does it have to be that way? Is there no other way for me to finally be your younger sibling? I'm scared, Nee-chan. I don't want to be left alone. Please come back. I'm scared of being lonely. You're all I have. Please, stay with me. Please let me be with you. Please... I just want to finally spend time with you. Is that too much to ask? Please.

My thoughts were cut off when I heard an alarm. I looked at the time and turned off the alarm. The time's 00:00, December 7. I scoffed, realizing that it was now officially our birthday.

"As always... I'm all alone again, huh? Happy Birthday to me and you, Satori-neechan." I sarcastically greeted myself and her, gulping down the last can of beer. Sighing, I stared at the ceiling, even though my vision was blurry because of the tears.

"I wish I- no, I'm pretty sure even if I wish that it won't happen. So instead, I wish I'll get used to this loneliness faster." I whispered my wish, then proceeded to cry out my frustrations and longing until I fell asleep.

I wish I can go back and be treated as your younger sibling for once...even if it's just a dream...

*****

I woke up to the sound of knocking. Damn, my head hurts. Hangover hurts like shit. I feel like my head's being split open. My head ached more when the pounding on the door got louder. Fuck-

"I'm coming, stop knocking already!" I shouted, groaning as I stood up and exited my room. The knocking didn't stop and it just gets louder as I got closer, adding to my headache.

"Fuck, stop it already! I said I'm coming!" I yelled, getting irritated. I opened the door and saw Shoko outside.

"What the fuck-" I cut her off by slamming the door close.

"Hey, open up, Satoru! Or else I'll destroy your door!" she shouted from the other side.

Groaning, I opened the door again and shot her a glare, signaling her to stop shouting already. So far, this is one of the worst mornings of my life. I hate this day. "What do you want?" I asked with an irritated tone.

"You look like shit," she stated, in a matter-of-factly tone. I deadpan at her and was about to close the door again but she stopped it with her foot. Rolling my eyes, I opened it again, leaning on the doorframe as I crossed my arms in front of my chest.

"Last chance, Ieiri. I don't have time for any bullshit today. Why are you here anyway?" I scoffed as she smiled sheepishly as a response.

"Aren't you supposed to invite me in first?" she points out. I rolled my eyes at what she said and step aside.

"Ugh, fine, whatever. Come in and let's just get this over with." Groaning, I invited her in. I hope she won't stay too long.

*****

"Spill," I commanded after she sat down on the couch. Although I already knew from her mind why she was here.

"Chill, Satoru. You're supposed to offer some snacks or drinks first, you know? Where'd your manners go?" she teased. Fucker. She knows I'm having a major hangover.

"I hate you," I said, squinting my eyes at her.

"Of course, you don't," she replied, smiling. Ugh, this is stupid. I walked towards the kitchen, grabbed a bottle of beer, and went back.

"There. Now, talk before I kick you out." I told her as I gave her the bottle and then, massaged my temples.

"Fine. I just came here to visit you and spend the whole day with you," she stated, then proceeded to drink.

"Huh? Why?" I asked, confused, the occasion completely slipped off my mind.

"It's your birthday, idiot."

"Oh."

"What kind of reaction is that? Anyway, here. Happy Birthday, Satoru!" she greeted while handing me a gift.

"Oh, thanks." I thanked her, receiving her gift. I opened it with her permission and saw sunglasses and hangover medicine. The sunglasses have a pair of darker black lenses than the usual shade I use. I tried it on, then drank the medicine, thanking her afterward.

"You're welcome. Now then, go take a bath and change clothes. We're heading out." she said pulling me towards my room.

"Where are we going?" I asked because her mind was empty about where to go.

"Outside. Your room's such a mess. I'll clean up while you get ready. Now, shoo." she replied, pushing me into the bathroom.

"Ugh, fine. I'm not paying, okay?" I yelled after closing the door.

"Whatever, I don't intend to make you pay today anyway," she yelled back. I felt the medicine kicking in, reducing my headache. Sighing, I decided to just go along and started showering.

*****

Five weeks passed since the Shibuya Incident. A lot of infrastructures are still under construction and millions of people are coping with what happened. Shoko didn't decide on where we were going so, we decided to just stroll around. Seeing the surroundings, I can't help but feel a sense of guilt that I was responsible for what happened.

"It's not your fault, Satoru. Rather, you saved them from the Culling Game and whatever those curses planned." Shoko comforted. I forced a small smile and then continued walking.

"Mama! Look! It's the Mister who saved us!" The child ahead said to her mother while pulling her excitedly.

"Thank you for saving us, Mister." The mother and son thanked us in unison when they stopped in front of us.

"Ah, it's my pleasure to save you," I responded politely, mustering the most genuine smile I can fake at the moment.

"Hey, hey, Mister." the kid called out pulling my pants to gain my attention. I crouched down to meet his level and talk to him at face level.

"Hm? What is it, kid?" I asked, urging him to continue.

"I just remembered that this is for you," he says as he hands me a silver necklace, with a black key and black ring as its pendants.

"Thank you, but..." I pursed my lips, stumbling upon my words, taken aback at the sudden gesture.

"The blue-eyed Onee-chan, who saved us too, told me to take care of it then give you that when she saved me."

"Blue-eyed...Onee-chan?" I repeated, making sure if I heard it right, as my sister's face flashed through my mind when I stared at the necklace.

"Yeah! She has the most beautiful blue eyes I have ever seen! She said to give that to a guy who has the same eyes as her. Seeing your eyes, I knew it was you because you're the only one who has it too!" The child grinned.

"I see, thank you for this then." I smiled, ruffling the child's hair.

"You're welcome! And please tell her I said thanks too! Bye!" The mother and child waved, leaving us. I observed the necklace, wondering what the key is for.

"What, you don't know how to wear it?" Shoko teased.

"Fuck off." I scoffed, removing the ring from the necklace and wearing it on my ring finger. It's a simple black gold ring, with blue diamonds intricated in a line in the middle. I wore the necklace, the key remaining as its pendant. I felt my mood lighten, knowing that my sister left something for me.

"Any idea who gave you that?" Shoko wondered.

"Of course. There's only one person in the whole world who has the same eyes as mine, you know." I answered, the corner of my lips tugging upwards.

"And that is?"

"My twin sister," I said, walking ahead of her with a smile on my face.

Chapter 21: Granted Wish

Summary:

Satoru's birthday wish came true.

Gojō Satoru's POV

We went back to the dorms, Ieri having enough of the strolling after we ate some ramen in a restaurant she likes. "Thanks," I mumbled, half hoping that she won't hear it.

"For?" she inquired, obviously hearing that I thanked her.

"For today," I said, glancing at the ring on my right hand, a smile creeping up of my face.

"You're welcome," she replied as we came to a halt in front of her dorm.

"What are we doing here?" she asks, eyebrows furrowed.

"Uh-" she cut me off, realizing what I thought. "Idiot. Let's head to your dorm," she says, already walking off.

"Huh? Why?" I asked as I immediately walked up to her.

"The day's not over yet, dumbass. So whether you like it or not, I'll spend the rest of the day with my best friend," she answered, walking ahead. I shake my head, smiling to myself.

*****

Opening the door to the dorm, party poppers popped, confetti coming out of it as Yuuji, Maki, Yūta, Panda, and Megumi greeted me.

"Happy Birthday,Gojō-sensei!" The five of them greeted in unison, with obvious differences in their energy.

"Thanks." I thanked them as Yūta walked up to me, holding out the cake with birthday greetings on top of it while Yuuji and Megumi hold on to the party poppers. After they sang a happy birthday song to me, I made a wish of spending time with my sister and then blew out the candle. I smiled at my students, happy at their surprise attempt even though I knew they were inside before I walked in.

*****

I spent the rest of the day with them, eating, watching movies, and playing games. They gave me gifts, ones that they knew I like. As most of them left, Yūta and Ieri are the only ones currently with me, helping me clean up. Yūta left with Ieri when we were done cleaning, to finally give me some time alone for the day.

Sighing, I stood up from the sofa and decided to take a shower. Once done, I dressed up in comfortable clothing and laid down in my bed, with the Prison Realm in hand, just staring at it. I can still feel the liquor I drank with Ieri affecting my body. I'm glad I spent my birthday with them but I wanted to spend it with my sister.

I glanced at the digital clock and read 23:57, then sat up, holding the Prison Realm Cube in my left hand as I took off the necklace she asked a kid to give me. I guess it's fair to say that this is her birthday present right?I wish you were here with me, Nee-chan.

Then, the blue diamond in the middle of the key started glowing, releasing some bright blue shining butterflies which immediately surrounded the Prison Realm, lifting it off of my hand. Not long after, I saw the butterflies crack open the cube, and a figure forming out of it. And just like that, my twin sister came into view, the bright blue butterflies disappearing as soon as they touched her. Glancing at my digital clock, she smiled before turning her attention back to me.

"Happy Birthday,Satoru." She greeted, smiling softly with her arms open. My tears welled up, and I stumbled as soon as I stood up. She walked closer and touched my face, caressing my cheek as tears streamed down her face. "I missed you... I missed you so much,Satoru," she claimed, her tears continued to stream down her face as mine started flowing down as well.

"I missed you too,Nee-chan. Happy Birthday." I greeted her back, pulling her in for a hug. If this is a dream, please don't wake me up.

"Dumbass this isn't a dream." She commented, hearing my thoughts, which made me smile and hugged her tighter. I couldn't keep my emotions anymore, so I kept crying and telling her how much I missed and love her until I fell asleep in her arms.

*****

The next morning I woke up alone in bed, with a terrible headache. "Sis?" I called out, as memories of last night came back to me. I abruptly stood up and searched around my dorm for my sister but couldn't find her. I slumped down on the sofa, my head in between my hands. So it was just a dream...? My tears welled up at the thought. It felt so real that I thought it was reality. Fuck-My thoughts stopped processing when a pair of hands cupped my cheeks and made me look up. Then, I came face-to-face with my sister, who has a worried expression.

"Hey...what's wrong, Toru?" She asked, wiping my tears with her thumb. I reached my hand out to her, touching her cheek to check if she was real.

She held my hand in place, leaning into my touch. With my Six Eyes also confirming that she was real, I pulled her into a hug and embraced her tight, afraid that she'll disappear if I didn't hold on to her tight enough, then started crying in her arms. She hugged me back, rubbing my back soothingly and whispering sweet nothings in my ear to calm me down, asking me what was wrong. "I- I thought you left me again... I was afraid that last night was just a dream." I muttered, biting my lip to control my sobs.

She pulled away from the hug, holding my hands, and stared at my eyes before speaking. "Toru... I'm here, okay? I won't leave you."

"Promise me?" I requested, offering my right pinkie.

"I promise I won't ever leave you again, Toru. I love you." She smiled, wrapping her pinkie around mine. I smiled, knowing she always keeps her promises. "I love you too, Nee-chan... Can I hug you again?" I requested, wanting to feel the warmth that I longed for.

"You don't have to ask for that, you know?" She responded, pulling me into a hug.

*****

"So you're telling me, that you'll be my new student? That the higher-ups specifically requested you to enroll and hide the fact that you're my sister?" I asked, summarizing the key points of what she said. We're currently eating lunch that I made for us.

"Yeah, that's pretty much all of it." She replied after drinking water.

"I think I can understand why you have to be enrolled and become my student but why hide the fact that you're my sister?" I asked, cocking my head to the side.

"For certain purposes, I guess? My existence's been hidden for a long time after all. Also, it'll be more dangerous if all sorcerers knew about me."

"I can protect you." I retorted in all seriousness.I'm the strongest sorcerer now. I should be able to protect my twin sister at all costs.

"I know, Satoru. And I can pretty much protect myself, too. But it'll be a different story if someone tries to pull something as Kenjaku did. I can't risk losing you like that again. I can't endanger your safety or everyone's safety. I'd rather have my existence hidden than become everyone's enemy."

"What do you mean? Is there something that I don't know?"

"I guess it's about time I tell you. First off, aren't you wondering why Sukuna helped in finding a way to release me?"

"It's odd, indeed. But I guess he's just interested in you, the same way he's interested in Megumi?"

"You're not entirely wrong but that's not it."

"Then, why, Nee-chan?" I asked, intrigued.

"He- You know that he's known as the King of Curses, right?" I nodded at her, confirming her assumption. "Well, I'm Mari Nakahara, also known as the Queen of Curses. Most specifically, Sukuna's only queen." She confessed, my whole being stopping at her revelation.

"Holy shit- Are you serious?" I asked, lowkey hoping that she was joking. However, that hope was crushed when she nodded her head, making me inhale sharply. "How- Why- Shit, I- I don't know how to take this, Nee-chan. Can you give me a minute?" I exhaled, conflicted at my thoughts and emotions. She chewed on her bottom lip, nervous at my reaction.

"I'm not mad at you, Sis. I- I just don't know what to feel..." I trailed off, unsure, but wanted to clarify that I'm not mad at her.

"I'm so sososorry, Satoru. I- I didn't mean to hide it from you. I didn't mean for it to happen, I swear. But things happened the way they were before I realized it." She frantically explained, afraid that I'll get mad at her past actions.

"Can you tell me what exactly happened? How things turned out that way?" I asked as calmly as I can, wanting to know what actually happened.

"It'll be a long story, Satoru. But I can show you through my memories. That is if you're okay with that?"

"Yeah, that's okay. As long as I'll know what happened."

"Okay. Let's finish up our meals first. I'll show you afterward." I nodded at her words, agreeing. We resumed eating and I tried to act as normal as I can around her, so that she won't be wary of me.

I'm not sure what exactly I feel about what she said but, for now, all I know is that I don't want her to feel uncomfortable around me just because she feels like I don't like what she did. She's my twin sister and whatever she did before, she still is, and always will be, my one and only twin sister and family. I won't risk losing her for anything. Even if it means she had a past with Sukuna.

*****

"Is this necessary?" I asked, heading down the basement with Satori.

"Not really. But I think it's about time I show you what I did on my last mission. Unless you're not interested in knowing it anymore?" She asked, cocking her head to the side.

I chewed on my bottom lip, hesitating. I want to know what she went through but at the same time, I can't bare to see her suffering. Also, I'm not sure if I'm ready to accept the fact that my sister is Sukuna's queen, the very same Sukuna who wants to kill me.

"Just so you know, Yūta already saw what happened." She shared, earning my full attention.

"You showed him?" I asked, frowning.

"Yeah. It was the fastest way for him to know that I'm not an enemy and that I'm your twin." She shrugged.

"That's so unfair! I-" She cut me off by placing her palm on my mouth. She placed a finger in front of her lips, telling me to remain quiet. I nodded and she retrieved her hand, then we heard someone knocking at my door. I frowned at the familiar presence.Yuuji?

She gestured for me to go up to check, and I agreed. I went up and opened the door, revealing Yuuji. "Hey, Sensei..." He greeted, touching his nape.

"Yo! What brings you here?" I asked leaning on the doorframe with my arms crossed over my chest.

"Well, Sukuna has been bugging me to come here since before midnight. He said he wanted to check something." I raised an eyebrow at his words. "What do you want, Sukuna?" I asked, fixing my glasses.

"She's released, isn't she?" He questioned as his mouth emerged on Yuuji's cheek.

How did he-

Chapter Text

Sukuna's POV

"She's released, isn't she?" I asked, going straight to the point.I can subtly feel her presence inside. Then before the sorcerer could respond, I heard her voice call out from behind him. "Sukuna." She walked closer and stood in front of him. What's her relationship with him?

"Ah, hello!" Yuuji greeted with a smile, which she returned with an acknowledging nod, then her eyes stared back at my opened one, as my gaze alternated between her and the damn sorcerer. What is he to you, Mari? Why are you together? Having enough of the sight of them together, I clicked my tongue and sighed inwardly. "Tch. We're leaving." I suddenly announced after rolling my eyes. I closed my eye and removed the mouth on the brat's cheek. The brat was confused but followed nonetheless and traipsed the hall to his room.

"I thought you wanna talk to her?" He asked as soon as he closed the door behind him.

"And who told you that?"

"No one. I just kinda assumed it on my own." He shrugged, lying down on the bed.

"You assumed wrong. Now stop bothering me." I lied through gritted teeth, annoyed at the scene I saw earlier.

"Fine, Mr. Sassy Pants." He responded, coming up with a nickname.

'Dumbass. I don't even wear pants.'I retorted, rolling my eyes even if he can't see it.

"That's just a figure of speech!" He argued, thinking I didn't get what he said.Real stupid brat.

I ignored him and let my thoughts run.Mari... What's your relationship with him? Did you... did you find someone else? I shut my eyes at the thought, groaning to myself. This is giving me a headache.

*****
Satoru's POV

As soon as Yuuji-kun left, Satori went directly to the bathroom while I waited for her in the bedroom. "Nee-chan, are you okay?" I asked, seeing how defeated her expression is despite trying to hide it with a poker face as she wiped her face.

"Ah, yeah. Sorry, Toru, but can I show you next time instead?" She asked, fumbling with her fingers, a habit she does whenever something's bothering her.Seems like her relationship with Sukuna's quite complicated...

"Of course, nee-chan. You can just show me whenever you're ready." I agreed, smiling, and she mumbled a soft thank you as a response.

I patted the top of her hair before responding. "Don't mention it. Go have some rest first. I'm sure you haven't fully recovered yet."

"I'd like to say you're wrong for once but you're right. I still feel the effects of being sealed for more than a decade."

"I thought as much. Come here and have some sleep." I said, patting the spot beside me.

She nodded and laid down. "Whatabout you?" She asked as I tucked her in.

"I'll be heading out for a while to take care of something while you're sleeping," I answered, sitting beside her.

"Want me to deal with them instead?" She asked, knowing full well that I'm talking about our clan.

"Thanks but it's fine. I can handle them." I refused.

"Alright. Take care, Toru."

"I'll be back as soon as I can, nee-chan," I said and kissed the top of her head. She smiled before closing her eyes, starting to drift off to sleep.

When I was sure she was asleep, I stood up, changed into my Jujutsu Tech uniform, and wore my signature blindfold. I looked at her one last time before closing the bedroom door, leaving her alone after turning off the lights. I cleaned up a bit and left the lights on before leaving my dorm, locking it from the inside. Now then... Time to deal with them. With that thought in mind, I walked off, finding a place to teleport.

As soon as I teleported to the clan's main residence, I was welcomed by the servants. "Welcome back, Young Master." The head maid greeted, bowing along with the other maids behind her. "We have been waiting for your arrival." She added as I nodded in acknowledgment to their bows, making them lift their heads enough to stare ahead but also low enough to not look at me in the eyes.

"Are the preparations complete?" I asked, taking huge strides to my house, briefly paying attention to anyone bowing in respect by waving a hand to dismiss them.

"Yes. Although the current head and a group of elders refused to do so, we prepared everything according to your wishes." She answered, all of them following to escort me to the mansion at the center of the estate. As they should. After all, among the members, no matter who's the current clan leader, the Gojō servants ought to prioritize the main family's orders. And right now, the only members of the main family are me and Satori-neechan.

"Good. Gather all the elders and that substitute in the main hall and leave me alone for an hour." I ordered, stopping to turn and face them.I'll deal with all issues here today to lessen my headache. I also don't want to worry nee-chan about family matters.

"Yes, Young Master. However, on the occasion that they refuse, what shall we do to not disturb you for a whole hour as you wished?" She inquired, knowing the probability that some might take the current head's side and refuse my command.

Although the main family usually had more authority than the rest, especially since being a clan leader is inherited within them. However, in the case that the current head isn't from the main family, the said head's authority will be at the same level as an ordinary member of the main family. The only way to exceed the head's authority would be receiving the same orders from two members of the main family or the order of the heir.

In this case, since Satori-nee came back, she's the current heiress. So the only way to countermand the head's command would be using Satori's authority. I don't want to disturb her and think about family matters, especially after what one of the preceding heads before me made her do. Also, I don't think they know about her yet.

No, they probably assumed her existence since her cursed energy can be felt from miles away, that's why they dared to try and revoke my commands but the servants chose to withhold the family laws. But I'm sure they haven't confirmed it yet for themselves, after all, she was only with Yūta when I was sealed and it's only been a few hours since she's released again, plus she's been hiding her cursed energy.I can use it as a loophole.

"Tell them that if they dare to refuse, as theheir and member of the main family of the Gojō Clan,I, Gojō Satoru, will exile them and have them face just punishments for refusing to follow the clan's laws and hierarchical authority."

"Understood."

"Also, I'm giving you authority to do any means of persuasion you deem fit," I added, remembering that the head maid and main servants that serve directly to the main family are ranging from grade 2 to grade 1 sorcerer, since they're also one of the trainers of the main family members, as well as security, aside from the main forces.

"As you wish, Young Master." She responded and they left, to distribute the command. Left alone, I entered the mansion and closed the door behind me.Tch. They should be thankful that I'm dealing with them according to the rules to regain my title."I'm back," I announced, even though no one was there.

"Now then, I think I still have those books in my room," I muttered to myself and traipsed from one hall to another, going up the stairs, only to walk further in until I reached my room.

Reaching inside my shirt, I took off one of my necklaces to hold the silver key in my hand. I carefully inserted it through the keyhole and twisted it along with the knob, only to hear a faint click, signifying that the door was now unlocked.

Entering the room, I found it in the same state as I left it two months ago. Sighing in relief, I walked in and closed the door behind me, heading directly to my bathroom. I let the shower run on the bathtub to give the assumption that I'm bathing and stopped in front of the mirror attached to the wall.

Once again, I inserted the key, this time using its bow rather than its blade, through the hidden keyhole on the sink. After hearing the faint click, I retrieved the key and wore it again before opening the secret passage. I entered and closed it behind me, then lit up one torch to go down the path until I arrived at one of the hidden rooms. This secret passage was built several centuries ago and was only made known to the clan leaders of the main family. I was surprised when our grandfather showed it to me and Satori when we were five years old.

I shook my head to dismiss my thoughts and refocus, thinking of the reason why I went down here. I entered the room full of archives and records and proceeded to find anything about Mari, who turned out to be Satori-nee. After a few minutes, I managed to collect and stack every record I found on the table and began reading them one by one.Sorry, nee-chan, but there's something I must know.

As time passed, I continued to read until there were only fifteen minutes left of the hour I commanded to be left alone.I should head back soon.Standing up, I reluctantly left the room and went back up to my room, only to have a quick shower and dress up.

I changed into a yukata composed of a white nagagi, haori, and haori himo, and a black hakama and obi. I styled my hair down and wore a silver wristwatch and black vintage sunglasses with round lenses. Just right after I finished, a knock took my attention.

"Young Master, they have all gathered in the main hall. We're here to help you prepare." I heard the head maid say.

"Oh, thanks. Come in." I responded loud enough for them to hear and they entered the room. Then, they helped me wear a pair of white tabi and setta sandals. "Let's go," I uttered after dressing up and left the room, with the servants trailing me.

Several steps before entering the main hall, the head maid went ahead, with my permission, to announce my arrival. "The Young Master Satoru has arrived." She announced right before I stepped in, making all of them stand up and bow in respect, including the substitute head.

"Let's get this over with, shall we?" I started, sitting down in my spot, shrouding myself in a menacing aura.

*****

Meanwhile, on Jujutsu Tech, a knock awoke Satori from her deep slumber that started not too long ago. She was about to ignore but the person outside her brother's dorm was persistent, knocking thrice after a moment while calling out their surname with respect. Groaning, she unwillingly sat up and rubbed her eyes before standing up, only to drag her feet across the floor reluctantly until she exited the bedroom.

"Gojō-san?" She heard the voice call out after three knocks, only to pause for a few seconds before repeating, making her groan in annoyance once more. Striding towards the door, she twisted the knob and swung the door open, which revealed a familiar person in front of her.

"What?" She asked, trying as hard as she could to not sound annoyed, which made her look more cold and fierce, making the person in front of her flinch and scared. "If you're looking for Satoru, he's obviously not here." She added with a deadpan expression, making Ijichi gulp and shook his head.

"Uhm- ano- Go-go-gojō-san, the hi-higher-ups are s-summoning you." He stuttered but managed to speak out.

Sighing, she ran a hand through her hair before speaking. "Tell them I'll be there in a minute."

"Got it," Ijichi responded and left as quickly as he could. Satori closed the door and groaned for the nth time since she woke up.Did they figure it out? No, I haven't told anyone about it yet. Aish, whatever, I need some water first! She thought to herself, distracting her mind before it started overthinking.

She took a glass of water and drank it straight, before pouring herself another glass. "I wonder what they found out..." Satori mumbled to herself, as her mind thought of possible reasons why she was being summoned.

Chapter Text

Satoru's POV

"So, you all insistedon following the rules and that I just can't claim my title back, right?" I started, all of them starting to get nervous.

"T-that's right! A-as the current h-head of the clan," Maekawa Toshiro stammered, only to stop, flinching when I turned to look at him. Maekawa Toshiro is one of my third cousins from my grandfather's side. They probably made him the clan leader because he was the type of person who's easy to manipulate for wanting people's approval, especially his parents.

"As what?" I raised an eyebrow at him, daring him to repeat. "We-uh the w-whole clan decided t-that- I- uhm-" He stuttered, glancing at his mother who sighed in response.

"The whole clan decided that you're not worthy of being the head of the Gojō Clan starting when you were sealed and exiled from the world of jujutsu." His mother spoke for him, continuing his sentence.

"That's right! Even if it was revoked, we can't have the clan leader bring shame to our family's name." One of them seconded.

"And besides, we all agree that it is only necessary for you to prove that you still are worthy, otherwise, we can't let you have your title back just like that when you returned." Another one of the elders added.

"Also, even if you're the bearer of Six Eyes and Limitless, you're not the heir anymore, nor the sole bearer of both aren't you?" Maekawa's mother smirked as if she already won the situation. "That's why we insist that the trials must be overcome for you to earn your title back. My son, the head of the clan, won't give it to you easily, right, Toshiro?"

"Y-yes! I won't give it to you easily!" Maekawa seconded, only for his composure to falter when he met my gaze.

"So, what do you say? Will you accept, Satoru?" Mrs. Maekawa asked, despite hoping that I would back down.

"You don't get to call me that." I glared, sending shivers down her spine. "And Maekawa? Head of the clan? HA HA HA!" I laughed, finding it funny that they let him. "Don't make me laugh. He's not even a Gojō, to begin with." I scoffed, staring down at them, making Mrs. Maekawa grit her teeth in anger while Maekawa turned pale.

That's right, Maekawa Toshiro is not a Gojō, nor even have any bit of Gojō blood in his veins. His mother was just adopted by my father's second cousin, while his father was an outsider that was married into the family. Hence, their family was not even a blood relative from the start.

"But fine, since you said you all wanted this, I'll give in just this once, so takebacks aren't allowed." I started, standing up and dusting off my clothes. "Mark my words though, there'll be appropriate punishments for everyone who participated in this when I return as the head." I glared menacingly at each elder, threatening every one of them, making them all flinch in nervousness. Because what they requested also means that they're challenging the authority of the main family.

"Oh, and Maekawa? For someone like you whose name means intelligent, you're quite the opposite." I snickered, before turning my back on them and walking off.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THAT?!" He shouted, abruptly standing up.

I smirked, turning just my head to look at him. "As just I said, you're an imbecile, Toshiro-kun." I sneered and then walked away, leaving him flushing in embarrassment while I turned my attention to the head maid. "Finish the preparations and summon them all to the training grounds in ten minutes. Leave with everyone, I'll be waiting in my room." I stated, giving her an order.

"As you wish, Young Master." She responded, all of them bowing before leaving. Once left alone, I hastily went back to my room, wanting to lay down for a while.I wonder how's Satori back at the dorm...

*****

Within ten minutes, several elders paid a visit to me, saying that they didn't really agree with it, and with any involvement in the Maekawa family ploys.

To be honest, I don't really care about who the clan leader is as of the moment, because sooner or later, the title will return to us, or I can hand it over to Yūta. However, if I don't take any action now and settle things here, Satori-nee might take care of it or be used by the clan again.

I don't want either to happen so, I have to deal with them now or all those sacrifices she did will be in vain, especially if her clan goes into the wrong hands. If that happens, we might have to deal with a bigger mess than the Culling Game.

Sighing, I massaged my temples and closed my eyes, relieving some stress. A few moments later, the head maid arrived, informing me that everything was ready and everyone was waiting for me.

"Let's head out then," I muttered, standing up. I locked the door behind me and headed to the training grounds.

As soon as I arrived, everyone was ready. The trial was I'll take down the Gojō's secret unit and would fight the head afterward without using any cursed techniques, although cursed energy is allowed. If I win, I'll claim back my title but if I lose, well it doesn't matter since it won't happen.

I took off my haori and threw it in the direction of the head maid, her catching it. "Let's begin," I stated and the members of the secret unit prepared for battle. At times like this, I wish I had one of my sister's abilities to get this over with in a jiffy...

The first one to attack headed straight to me, intending to attack me with a punch full of cursed energy, which I evaded by moving a step and turning my body to face to the side. I captured his wrist and hit his elbow using my palm with enough force and cursed energy to break his elbow, and kicking his feet off the ground as I let go of his wrist, resulting in him lying down on the floor, screaming in pain. I tapped his forehead, sending a bit of cursed energy to make him pass out.

The next one tried to attack me from behind with a spear, which I dodged by tilting my body to the left. I took ahold of the spear using both hands and swung it upwards, lifting the holder off of the ground, only to fall face first on the cement. I took the spear from him and hit his head lightly, with a controlled amount of cursed energy, enough to put him to sleep.

The other members of the unit gulped down when they saw me holding a spear with a glint of malice. However, they still attacked continuously, assisting one another in trying to take me down, only to fail and pass out, just like the first two.

After a few more moments, I defeated all of them. Sighing, I held the spear in one hand as I stretched my neck. "It's your turn next, Maekawa," I said menacingly, making him flinch.

He unwillingly stepped forward and moved towards me, only to stop a few feet away. "I won't lose to you, Gojō-san." He spoke with determination trying to hide how much he was trembling because of fear.

"Yes, yes. Since you're so full of determination, I'll give you a once-in-a-lifetime chance." I grinned, making him frown.

"And that is?"

"I'll let you hit me once with all you've got, and I promise to end this quick."

"I don't need your generosity, former clan leader."

"It's not generosity, you know? It's called mercy. After all, you're weak." I smiled mockingly, infuriating and embarrassing him.

"I'LL KILL YOUUUU!" He yelled in anger as he rushed to throw a punch at me, his fist filled with cursed energy. I raised my left arm in front and caught his fist using my hand, stopping him completely. I pulled him closer, to whisper something in his ear. "You're a millennium too early for that," I remarked in a mocking tone and kicked his feet off the ground as I let go of him, making him fall with a thud.

I stepped on his chest and looked down at him. Raising the spear sideward, I smirked before swinging it, heading for his neck. However, a split second before I stopped the end of the spear an inch away from his neck, he fainted on his own due to fear, making me roll my eyes.Tch. And he said he'll kill me.

"Guess that's it. Well then, as the current head of the clan, clean this mess and have the Maekawa family go under trial. Anyone who objects will join them." I stated as the head maid placed my haori back on top of my shoulder. With that, I left the training grounds and walked back to my room, to prepare to head back to the dorm.

*****

Right after showering and changing into a new set of fresh clothes, I gave instructions to the head maid and went off. I chose to commute rather than teleport so that I can look for something to bring home to my sister.

My effort was in vain though, since a lot of infrastructures and businesses are still undergoing restorations. Not long after, I arrived at Jujutsu Tech and saw Okkotsu, along with Kurusu, Uraume, and Kenjaku, waiting in front.

"Gojō-sensei!" Okkotsu called out as soon as he saw me, waving.

"Yo!" I greeted them as I walked over to them. "Why are you all waiting here?" I asked, despite being grateful that they didn't go directly to my room.

"Well, Itadori- no, Sukuna said that the meeting was canceled on a whim. But when we tried to go into your room to wait since the two of them said it was unacceptable to make Sukuna wait, he stopped us and told us to wait out front for you if we want to know why since you're nowhere in Jujutsu Tech." Yūta explained, referring to Uraume and Kenjaku as the 'two'.

"I see... Did he say something else?"

"No. That's all he said, Sensei."

"Alright. Well, the thing is, I had an urgent matter to attend to that's why the meeting was canceled and decided that the meeting will be just between me and Sukuna this time."

"What? Then-" "Did Master Sukuna agree to that?" Uraume asked, cutting off Kenjaku.Well, no but you don't have to know that.

"Of course! He won't tell you it's been canceled otherwise."

"We understand. We shall take our leave then." Uraume responded and left, pulling an unwilling Kenjaku with her.I can't get used to seeing a different person in Suguru's body.

"I'll be taking my leave too then. Just notify me when will it be." Kurusu said and left. We waved her bye and now, I'm left alone with Yūta.

"I'm happy for you, Sensei." He smiled, making me baffled.Did he-

"I heard from Ieiri-san that you received a gift from your Satori-chan"Oh, he doesn't...

"Uh- yeah... Thanks."

"Well, bye, Sensei! I'm happy for you both!" He bowed and left, heading to his dorm room.So he does know!

*****

While eating dinner, Satori-neechan seemed to be lost in thought. As much as I tried, I just couldn't read her mind like the others. Bothered, I decided to call out to her. "Satori-nee?"

Blinking, as if I just pulled her back to reality, she raised her head to look at me. "Yeah?"

"Is everything alright?" I asked, concerned.

"Uh, yeah. I- There are just some things on my mind but it's nothing to worry about." She responded, smiling. Squinting my eyes, I know something was bothering her but chose to let her decide on her own whether to tell me or not as I hummed in response.

"Oh, by the way!" She started, barely chewing the food she just swallowed.

"Hm?"

"About that one kid, Fushiguro Megumi, how did you meet him?" She asked, making me raise an eyebrow. Why is she more curious about Megumi than his ex's vessel?Shrugging my thoughts, I answered her question. "Well, long story short, I killed his father and took him in as his father's last request. Although he didn't technically word it that way, but still implied the same thing."

Hearing my answer, she paused abruptly, holding the spoon mid-air. "His father... Do you know who his father is?"

"Yeah, after all, I'm curious about the man who managed to defeat me. I found out his name while looking for Megumi. His name's Fushiguro Toji, and he was originally from the Zenin Clan." As soon as those words left my mouth, her eyes widened and Satori-nee unintentionally let go of the spoon, spilling its content on the table.Eh?

Chapter Text

As the spoon fell from her hand, Satori's body started trembling. Before her brother could notice, she excused herself and left, saying she wanted some fresh air. Satoru was beyond confused but decided to give his sister some space for now, especially since she looks sick.

Sighing, he cleaned up the table and did the dishes, while waiting for his sister to return. He's worried about her but doesn't want to force her to tell him things she's not ready to share yet. Despite him knowing that there's still a part of him that wants his sister to just trust him and lean on him, to let him protect her this time.

On the other hand, Satori walked away from the dorm building and once she was far enough, she picked up her pace and ran, heading to a nearby empty space. When she saw an empty training field, she went down the stairs and sat down.

Taking a deep breath, she scoffed to herself and ran a hand through her face and hair. Her breathing started to shake as her tears suddenly streamed down her face. Sobbing uncontrollably, she began to bite the back of her hand to minimize the noise she was making.

She tried as hard as she could to keep her emotions in check, not even shedding a tear when their grandmother died, as she kept herself busy with training to fulfill her mission. However, just this once, she let them take over her completely as she finally broke down, and cried herself out from everything she had gone through.

Her heart hurt like hell, but she knew she was partially to blame for her past. And so, as she calmed herself down, she made up her mind on something. She vowed to spend the remaining time she has left with her loved ones and make them happy.

Standing up, she went to a nearby comfort room and washed her face. As the water splashed on her face, she felt herself relaxing bit by bit. As her face dried, she summoned a white cotton cloth and used magic to turn it into her blindfold. Inhaling deeply, she put on a poker face and stepped out, heading to the meeting room.

On her way there, she came across Ijichi and told him to summon the higher-ups. Confused, he followed after she threatened him and made him deliver her words. They were complete within a few minutes, as she requested, and they waited for her to enter.

As soon as she entered the room, every one of them became tense and the atmosphere felt heavy. Satori took her time, striding towards the center. As she arrived at the center spot, one of the higher-ups cleared their throat to start the conversation.

"So, why did you gather us this late at night? Have you given it a thought?"

"To tell you the truth, the deal you offered earlier won't really affect me whether I accept it or not. I know that isn't the case for you though but you really can't think of something to offer to me, correct?" She confirmed her assumption when they remained silent.

"Didn't even deny it, huh? Well, guess what, you're in luck since I decided to accept your offer."

"!?"

"But I'll modify the deal by exchanging what you're supposed to offer to my end. Rather than letting the whole jujutsu world that I've been released and that my innocence was proven, I'd like you to grant me four requests."

"... As long as it's within our power, we shall grant whatever you require in exchange for what we desire." One of them responded, the others agreeing.

"Good. First, let me stay here as a full-time student at Tokyo Jujutsu High. I'll enroll myself as a first-year student and I should be treated as such." Satori said, raising a finger to serve as a count for her requests.

"That's acceptable. Proceed."

"Second, no one without my permission shall know my existence here, and I'll be known as Fujiwara Sakura. Third, I shall be given authority to do whatever I deem necessary, without questions asked."

"Wait, what if you abuse that authority?" One asked, earning the other's attention.

"Good point. Rest assured, I won't and I'll just use that authority to do my end of the deal. I'm not fond of complicated stuff and asking for permission whenever I have to do something."

"But-" "We'll trust you on that. What's the last request?" A woman cut off the person who asked a question earlier.

"Lastly, let me handle Ryōmen Sukuna without anyone's interference nor underhanded methods to dispose of his vessel," Satori stated her final request as she took off her blindfold, giving them a piercing gaze.

"..."

"With 15 fingers consumed by Itadori so far, do you think Sukuna would sit idly by if you tried to kill his vessel with 75% of his power? Face it. Besides Satoru, I'm the only one who can fight Sukuna head-on."

"What are you trying to say? Are you saying that even if we teamed up, none of us have a chance to defeat him?!" One of them snapped.

"Well, yeah but that's beside the point. I'm saying that I'm your safest bet. I defeated him once, I can defeat him again. If you agree, I promise I'll completely eliminate Sukuna from this world."

"Very well. We shall fulfill your requests. However, you'll leave the day after tomorrow to settle the initial part of the deal."

"Fine..." She muttered and put her blindfold back, turning her heel to leave. Just before she exited the room, she remembered one more thing to say. "Oh, and one more thing. Aside from me, no one else can share the details about this deal with anyone. Especially the day that I'll be leaving. Do you all understand?"

"Yes. I'll personally see to it that everyone complies." The mediator answered on behalf of them all higher-ups.

"I'll leave you to it then," She responded one last time and left, walking back to her brother's room. Now that I made the future that I told Satoru about a reality, time to settle some things.

After a few minutes of walking, she finally arrived at Satoru's door. Breathing deeply, she opened the door and entered, only to find the room empty. Entering further after she took off her shoes and wore her slippers, she heard the water running from the bathroom.

Satoru, on the other hand, was preparing a bath for his sister after he had just taken one. Hearing their bedroom door open, he turned off the faucet and went out, finding his twin who was just sitting on the bed, staring at nothing in particular.

"Hey..." Satoru started, thinking about how to ask his sister if she was okay.

Taking in her brother's appearance, Satori asked the obvious to initiate a conversation with her twin. "Did you just finish taking a bath?"

"Yeah. I just prepared one for you too."

"Really? I'll go in then." Satori responded and stood up, walking towards the bathroom, only to be stopped by a grip on her wrist. "Satori... Are you okay?"

Satori sighed and smiled softly at Satoru as she reached up to touch his cheek. "I'm fine, Satoru. I'm sorry if I worried you earlier but I'm okay, really."

Sighing, Satoru closed his eyes for a moment and held his sister's hand on his cheek. "You know that I'm here for you, right? You don't have to carry it all by yourself anymore, Satori. Share it with me, yeah? I'm your twin after all. And I'm stronger than before so let me protect and take care of you this time, please?"

"Thank you, Toru. For being my twin. I just can't tell you things for now but I'll tell you soon, okay?"

"Promise?" He asked, holding out his pinkie as he let go of his sister's hand, for he knows that his sister never ever broke a promise she once made.

"I promise." She did what he asked, promising to tell him everything soon, entangling her pinkie to his, as she retrieved her hand from his cheek.

"Alright. I'll be waiting, nee-chan." He grinned, making his sister smile, for she loved seeing her brother happy.

"Thanks, I appreciate it." She smiled back, genuine this time.

*****

The next morning came and the two siblings spent their morning doing most of their routines together. An hour before lunch, Satoru left to pay his respects to a friend by visiting their grave, named Nanami Kento.

Left alone, Satori let her thoughts run from one random thought to another. Thinking about the deal she just made, she stood up and decided to go out to observe. She changed into a gray knitted sweater, and black skirt and wore black cycling shorts underneath, and a black trench coat owned by her brother.

She also put on black thigh-high socks and black leather shoes. Then, Satori ran her hands from her eyes, changing them to silver gray which made her cerulean orbs look like a pair of moons, to her hair, changing its color from snow white to a silver gradient.

Successfully changing into her half stealth form, she left the dorm and went out of Tokyo Jujutsu High without anyone's knowledge, and headed to the center of the city. Teleporting behind an unoccupied street, she began strolling around Tokyo, observing the effects left behind by the Culling Game.

Casually walking around, she saw a lot of infrastructures that were under construction. Aside from that, a lot of people seemed down yet trying to focus on what was ahead of them rather than what just happened that they don't know anything about.

Being a sorcerer herself, she felt bad. She felt guilty that a lot of people got caught up in a sorcerer's schemes. Sighing, Satori was about to sit down on a bench when she saw an old woman trying to cross the road, who seemed to be carrying something heavy.

Seeing that, she stood up and jogged to the old lady. "Hello, can I help you with that?" Satori offered, smiling politely. The old woman looked up at her and smiled before responding. "Oh, my. What a lovely young lady you are." says the old lady as she let Satori carry the two boxes that she was carrying and mumbled thanks.

Satori took the boxes and offer her other arm to the granny, for she could carry the two boxes with one arm alone. "Thank you but not as lovely as you." She responded as she lead her to cross the street while asking where the old lady was headed to.

"Are you a tourist?" The old woman asked after answering her question.

"Uh-no, I- I've lived here before..." Satori trailed off, a hint of sadness in her voice that the old lady didn't fail to pick up.

"It's unfortunate, isn't it? You came back when the country's undergoing a lot of reconstruction."

"Yeah..."

"But you know, it's also fortunate that you didn't come across those monsters. Although they're gone now, what they took and gave to people will remain. Like that kid over there," the old lady pointed to a kid who was trying to help in building a house before continuing "their family was our neighbor. Her mother was killed by a monster in front of her. And right before she was almost killed, she said a young man wearing white saved her."

"..."

"Other people call it luck but what about her? Do you think she still considers herself lucky for being alive on her own? Poor child, she must've gone and will continue to go through a lot." With the old woman's words, Satori felt a stab in her heart. The young child that the old lady pointed at was the very same child that she and Okkotsu rescued. If only we were a few minutes earlier... We might've saved her mother too...

*****

When the sky became dark and stars started to show themselves in the night sky one by one, Gojō Satoru decided it was time to go home, after paying his respects to sorcerers and civilians who died because of the Shibuya Incident and Culling Game.

"Thank you for protecting them, Kento. I'll see you later." He muttered in front of a grave that belonged to his friend named Nanami Kento, who died in the Shibuya Incident.

Running a hand through his hair, he teleported himself directly to Tokyo Jujutsu High for he couldn't be bothered to see the same miserable scenery he saw before coming to the cemetery. With hands in his pockets, Satoru walked himself back to his dorm, which he currently shares with his twin sister.

"I'm home," opening the door, he took off his shoes and heard a faint welcome back. As he entered the bedroom, he was greeted by the scene of his sister, sitting on the windowsill with windows opened, who seemed to be lost in thought, staring outside.

While contemplating whether to say something to his sister or let her be for a while, Satori beat him to it as she called out to him. "Hey, Satoru?"

"Yeah?" He asked back, taking off his jacket to throw it on a chair.

"Hypothetically, what if I tell you that I can return everything to how it was before the Shibuya Incident? Including people's lives that were taken, would you want me to do it?" Satori asked, her heterochromatic silver and light blue eyes finally gazing back at his light blue orbs as she completed her question. In that instant, Gojō Satoru's mind became blank, processing what his twin just asked him.

Notes:

Hi! Sorry for not updating for a long time! To be honest, I've thought of stopping to write this story since I'm not sure if someone's actually reading it, though the kudos, bookmarks, and hits say otherwise, I just think it's probably not as good as I thought or it's just my writing style. But I also wanted to see for myself the ending of the plot that's been on my mind for so long. I really appreciate the kudos, bookmarks, and hits that y'all left, and it also affected my decision to continue writing this :> Thank you so much, everyone, and I hope you'll bear with me until the end of this story.
