PUCKETT RUPERT Joseph "J.B." Bartley Puckett, 73, Rupert, died Tuesday, August 9, 1988, at Cassia Memorial Hospital, Burley. He was born May 25, 1915 at Saskatchewan, Canada, the son of Charley Puckett. He moved to Iowa as a small child and lived with his grandfather. He received his education in Iowa, and traveled extensively looking for work. He came to Idaho in 1935.
He married Melba DeRoche, June 5, 1941 in Idaho Falls. He traveled and worked as a mechanic until 1 1958. He retired in the MiniCassia area for ten years and two years in Georgia. They had just returned to Rupert. He was a member of the LDS Church.
Surviving are his wife of Rupert; five sons, Joe Puckett, David Puckett, and Melvin Puckett, all of Rupert, Robert Puckett, Nevada, and Charley Puckett, Albany, Georgia; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, August 12, at Hansen Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be in Rupert cemetery.
MYRTLE LOWDER RUPERT Myrtle Kenner Lowder, 85, Rupert, died Tuesday, August 9, 1988, at Minidoka Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 13, in the Rupert LDS' 3rd Ward Chapel with Bishop John Fennell officiating. Burial will be in Rupert Cemetery. HENRY CHARLES LANG BURLEY Henry Charles Lang, 69, Burley, died Friday, August 5, 1988, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Loma Linda, Calif. He was born Nov. 10, 1918, at Detroit, Michigan, the son of Bernhard and Hanna Schebor Lang. He attended schools in Detroit, Michigan, He was a veteran having served in the Army during World War II. He moved to California in 1953.
He had resided in Las Vegas, Nevada for 25 years before moving to Burley in 1983. He married Gladys Louise Lang on August 20, 1985, at Elko, Nev. She preceded him in death on Jan. 3, 1988. He then moved to Indian Springs, to be with his daughter and later moved to Loma Linda where he was hospitalized due to ill health.
He was a member of the Sheet Metal Union for 40 years Survivors include six children, Henry Charles Lang, of Tempe, Arizona; Carolyn Gay Cearley of Bishop, California, Darlene May Malott, of Missouri, Diana Lynn Wright, of Farmington, New Mexico, Linda Sue Martin of Cottonwood, and Betsy June Thormahle, of Indian Springs, a Bonnie Wilson, Burley; two stepsons, Charles James Patton and Daniel Lee Patton both of Las Vegas, 21 grandchildren, 13 greatgrandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 13, at Riverside Cemetery in Heyburn with Rev. L. G.
